    He's F-O-L-E-Y.

    He's gold and black.

    He plays sdkl/ghjiasergkan

    He's F-O-L-E-Y.

Kevin Foley. Bloody good Championship right back. Capable lower-Championship midfielder.

Waste of a shirt wide right.

Yes, he's a 'proper footballer'. He's got a good touch, and good awareness, and good stamina. But fuck me, he's not the right kind of player to play wide right. He's too slow, and hasn't got a trick. His mentality is all wrong for that position. It's a massive indictment that he's been in this role for so long - he completely negates one half of the pitch as a threat, meaning that our genuine threat is nullified more easily.

Don't get me wrong, it's not Kev's fault. It's Mick's for playing him there. The annoying thing is, that knowing Mick, he'll carry on playing him until he makes a mistake - which probably won't happen given that Kev is the definition of 'neat and tidy'.

I'm actually not convinced that this is the right league for Kev as a right back. He's very slow and very weak, and doesn't attack well. I think composure and class will only get you so far as a rightback, and the PL may be a step to far.

I'm also testing the blog bit of the software - not repeating myself!

I'm sure Foley is a good enough right back for the Premier League. He has everything to me and Mick is wasting it. Real shame.

I agree with Del on this one, I just don't think he's quick or strong enough to cut it as a RB in the Prem. Which is a shame, but if you want to progress don’t think you can afford to be sentimental

I consider that this has been a good season for Kevin Foley. Ok, so he has played outside of his comfort zone and certainly not always in his best position. However, he has played well with Zubar and has done a good job for the team. As with Ward in previous seasons, don't judge him harshly because the manager has asked something more or something different from him. Despite popular opinion, players are not born with a label tied to their big toe saying, 'right back' or 'striker'.
