Thread: Wolves XI vs Cheltenham Town

Default Wolves XI vs Cheltenham Town

This one completely slipped under the radar, but Wolves are playing Cheltenham at Wadden Road tonight, I assume it going to be a development team and as it Cheltenham town the tickets will be about £20, but as I live ten minutes away I'm going to have to go. Kick off it at 19:45 and you pay at the turnstile. I will post some sort of drunken report after the game if anyones interested.

Mouyokolo might be playing - if he's recovered from his injury.

I can't wait to see him play, from what iv heard he sound like a really good prospect.

Real shame that Mouyokolo got injured. He could have been pushing Craddock & Berra for a start but now he's a few weeks behind the team more or less picks itself.

I'd be very surprised if he's not starting regularly by Christmas.

Depends on the form of Craddock and Berra though. If they start off like they finished last season there will be no reason to drop one of them.
The major question for me is, can Craddock keep it up?

Agreed. It's hard to imagine that he could sustain it for the whole season.

I see a reasonably strong side is going down there tonight. Will good to Hannahman, Milijas, Mujanji Bia & Mouyokolo get some more minutes on the pitch.

to be fair that squad should totally destroy Cheltenham, they are utter gash and will in all probability be relegated. I can't wait now.

Keogh was the only player not to get on v Reading and now in that team he can't even get a start up front.

    I think he's definitely off.

I like the fact that we're not sending the kids out this year. I want them integrating with OUR players and learning from Doyle, Fletcher, Henry, Foley, Berra etc and not some retard at Darlington or Bury. I reckon both Batth and Malone have a shout of playing some PL football this season.

I fully expect to see both of them making their full debuts in this seasons League Cup.

    Agreed.

I also think, from what I've seen, they'll hack it.

A good season in the reserves for Malone and he will go ahead of Elokobi and big George will depart next summer.

Batth could make a Prem appearance this season. Mick has been talking him up and if it works out for him, I think we have a home grown Captain ready and waiting.

Well if they're good enough and playing better than those in their position there should be nothing stopping them. These are definetely the 2 mick has ear marked for a more prominent role this season from that development team. Hemmings has been around a while and is one of the oldest in the group so should have made more of a mark already. I also agree that training with our players every day has got to help them make that step up.

Batth looked good against Reading the other night. He made a few crunching tackles on the floor. One really upset Long but by the time he'd got up Batth was miles away from him and we were on the attack. He won a lot in the air too but could do with 'bulking up' a little. It was a promising performance because Reading had some experienced players going forward. Alongside someone experienced like Craddock he could really come out of his shell - seemed to be pretty quick too... think this season is too soon for him to make a real impact though. Agree with those who have said we may see him in the League cup though.

On Malone - He has had one of the bets loan spells a kid could have. Sent off to Ujpest and played a part in a title race and European Qualification. Playing in front of proper crowd. The 3 months he spent there he would have learnt more than a season long loan in League 1

I don't think they intended it to be in use for the development freindly but you should see it tomorrow afternoon.

i like the fact that so many different players are getting on the scoresheet in the friendlies, and i hope we keep hold of keogh, a bad run of injuries could see us needing him, and he is cover in a lot of different areas, even if he doesn't score as many as ronaldo.

Agreed. The subject of 606 has been touched on in various threads due to some of the more regular posters from there moving over here. From what I've seen of 606, it's turgid. Good to have you here though - the more the merrier!

According to that live update, Keogh has come off at half time. I REALLY think we'll see him sold in the next week or so.
