They're vile man, way too off-putting for players.

That's why they're so good!

They are Bristol City shirts so I will always fucking hate them but dear God...

I KNEW Alan would like them.

The only saving grace for those abominations is that they are keeper kits.

I... don’t mind them either.

They’re tacky and vulgar, but that’s the point!

We had this in 93/94. Not a million miles away:

Things you don't get now:

- Visible padding on a keeper shirt
- Keepers wearing outfield shorts and socks
- Keepers wearing someone else's branded gloves (Micky has Schmeichel gloves on there)

On a related note, was trying to work out at what point England fans dropped the union flag for the st George whilst watching old sport throughout the past 6 months. Haven't pinned it down mind. What is odd for me, is it appears a pretty complete switch. Almost like a new kit for a new season.

Was definitely mostly Union flags at Italia 90.

Don't think we took many fans to Euro 92, the grounds were tiny.

Didn't qualify for USA 94.

Got to be Euro 96 then, possibly ramped up more because we had Scotland in the same group.

Green as a(n almost) predominant colour?

Shirts made by their personal sponsors too - at club level I remember Shilton wearing a Uhlsport shirt when his club had Patrick (Saints) and Umbro (Derby)

Neville Southall used to wear 2 shirts
