What job does Dom want you to do?

What happens if you just pick "it depends" for every question?!

Boxer, football referee, or generic professional athlete. Zero for three.

Normally with these kinds of quizzes you can manipulate them exactly where you want them to go because it's so obvious what they're trying to get at, but these questions are simultaneously far too vague to be of any use AND there are clear gaps in what they should ask, but don't. Like, you should probably as a bare minimum include a "do you enjoy sports?" question in there, for a start - and like, I have zero interest in physical activities like sport, but if I had to I'd be fine switching up a desk job for something like an electrician that does still mean being on your feet doing a lot each day.

I'm more curious about why this even exists. Is this something people on UC have to fill in? Feels like the kind of patronising shite involved in being unemployed nowadays.

It's undoubtedly the kind of shit these new "job coaches" will go through. Talking a welder through this nonsense and telling them to be an air steward should end well.

I have too much time on my hands...

More classic Government megamind work here. We all need to retrain apparently as forget decades of working on what you're good at, you're not viable now.

I got:

1) Hospitality and food. What a brilliant industry to enter right now! Can't wait for that, loads of opportunities.

2) Sales. Er, ok. I think anyone who has met me even fleetingly knows this would not work out very well.

Digging deeper this one came out:

You know, I think I might give that one a miss, thanks all the same.

Other people have got hilarious shit like "boxer", why is that even on there :icon_lol:

Ha I got the road traffic investigator too

You think this government give a fuck about you doing a job you enjoy!

I've just gone as bland as possible with agree/don't know/disagree and got "Transport" so I answered the next few questions and I should be a Helicopter Pilot :icon_lol:

That sounds incredible tbf. I'd resign your current job right now if I were you.

I've had to do a bit of translation work since the virus hit (I stopped doing it for ages, but needs must and all that), I don't see any possible way they could tell me on there that I can do that, they never even ask if I speak another language or languages. But I've been doing that on and off for well over a decade?

They should push web developers heavily really given they can never get anything to fucking work properly.

Education and Training.

Which is already what I do, so I guess the test is accurate.

Seconds option was Social Services

I got sorry there is a problem with the service, not sure how I should take that.

This reminds me of the forms you filled out at school which were sent off to a computer to give you an indication of where you will be best served. I forget my best match but there must have been a national shortage of window dressers as everyone got it in their list of top 10.

A friend got for his top match a Laundrette Assistant (not even manager talk about know your place), followed by Shepherd, obviously a clear career path to someone from Wolverhampton

Shepherd doesn't seem that bad a job tbf. Sheep aren't ever going to cause you that much trouble, seems you get a free flat cap and tweed jacket whenever you start too.

It really lost its edge after we got rid of all the wolves in the UK

Hey, my Dad (in his youth) worked on a pig farm in Penn, of all places :)

Tough break, man.

Off to the picking fields it is for you.
