The Goggle Box Thread

A remade episode of The West Wing is being shown on HBO next week. Hopefully it appears over here. My favourite programme.

Been watching the programmes about the fishing fleet out of Peterhead, on the beeb......them boys earn their money, whatever they get paid, it ain't enough

I've finished Banshee.............now what ???

Star Trek Discovery season 3 starts in 6 days, woohoo!

Watched the first few episodes of Iron Fist, now I'm not a massive fan of 'superhero' series and I always thought those Stan Lee cameos were the most cringeworthy thing ever, but this is major pants, the only show where all the background characters storylines would have made a better series than the supposed hero.

Ugh. BBC America have made a TV version of Terry Prattchett's The Watch. Prattchett's daughter has disowned the thing and not surprising as it looks horrendously bad. They had the rights to do an adaptation when Terry was still alive but since his death they've changed all the people involved and made a hideous punk rock version with woke recastings and terrible acting.

As a massive Pratchett fan it just makes me sad the way they've just used his work's name and shit all over the rest. Vimes is a terrible gurning Jack Sparrow lookalike and Lady Sybil is about as far away from the book character as you can get.

Avoid like the plague.

Yes, it was piss poor.

Getting into the new version of Lost in Space, It's quite good

Bugger, Netflix doesn't have Banshee anymore. :(

EDIT: Appears it never was, it's on Amazon but not included with Prime anymore. :(

Either way I can't watch for 'free' anymore. :(

Has anybody watched Signs on Netflix? Three episodes in and I’m really struggling with it, really flat and the characters are awful. Just wondering if it gets any better?

It’s on sky go if you have the box sets option

Funnily enough I just found it on Now TV on Sky Atlantic and just came on here to post it. Good to go!

It's weird watching Banshee if you've seen Antony Starr as Homelander.

Showtime are bringing Dexter back for a 10 episode Season 9.
They have a 2nd chance to give the show a proper ending after the disaster that was the Season 8 finale.

For once I’m not worried about a programme I like coming back as they can’t make it any worse than the last season!

It is. I can't stand him as Homelander but I think that's testament to his acting as I really like him in Banshee. He plays Homelander as the massive cunt he's supposed to be.

I never watched Dexter the first time around although my ex loved it.

Might be a good time to watch it through!
