Loan Watch 2020-2021

:icon_lol:

He's probably still recovering from the African Nations too, give him a break.

Jackson Smith joins Frickley Athletic until January

Frickley Athletic has got to be the most British sounding football club I've ever heard.

It's in Yaaaaarkshire. Near Doncaster.

It's not far from Wakefield which is the biggest city in the UK to have never had a professional football team.

Only according to The Athletic.

Wakefield itself is smaller than Telford and a whole pile of other places without league teams.

Biggest by population maybe?

Although arguably Wakefield isn't a proper city...

It's claiming the council area, when it's a very "Sandwell" type area in that it's loads of small towns that aren't interrelated run by one council.

It's not a city in any meaningful way.

Bristol's got to be the biggest one in England to have never had a Premier League team.

It's Dudley I think, definitely read that before
Dudley proper isn't that big. It's only when you add on Stourbridge and Halesowen and the rest of the places Dudley Council runs does it seem bigger.

The biggest is Warrington according to the Major Towns and Cities dataset which is about places not council areas. Unless they had a league team in the 1890s or something.

Nah, they didn't. That's firmly in the rugby league corridor.

They've never even had a team in the Conference or the Conference North.

Austin Samuels has joined Bradford until the end of the season. Decent move for the lad.

Him and Jackson Smith now on the list.

I didn't realize Samuels was still on the books here.

I went to Warrington for a pre season friendly with some Telford supporting mates once, not even anyone in Warrington could tell us where the football ground was.....plenty pointed us in the direction of the rugby ground and looked bemused when we mentioned we were looking for the football ground..............gave up and stayed in the pub in the end!

I know that this post is repeated by many on here on several occasions but can I thank Sedgley and the others who do the updates on this thread.

I just made the mistake of clicking on the following article on the B&S website and the information in it is pitiful compared to what we have in here.

Thanks, Sniffer, much appreciated!

I haven't had as much time recently, but try to update when I can.

A tick over 48 hours for Seyi to move on Buur, Miranda, Bennett, Sanderson, Ennis and maybe a couple of others.

Get your arse in gear.

Apparently, Ennis is off to Doncaster and Wednesday are trying to get Sanderson.

I know 2020 is a shit and we would all rather it end but going back to 2005 to find your anger for Seyi is a bit far...

I think we will be left with Rodders and maybe Buur. With the shit going on with Portugal it wouldn't surprise me if we block a couple of moves to fill out the squad just incase anyone tests negative this week or during the next international window
