Wonder if Traore will want more minutes, and Wolves might also feel it’s time to cash in on an asset who may well be more valuable to other teams.

He’s obviously been demoted to ‘impact’ sub right now, Nuno has obviously seen we’re a better team when he doesn’t start in it. Trouble is for him he’s not having any impact when he comes on. His value to us has dropped massively since lockdown and others will have noticed his drop off in form. Personally I’d cash in and reinvest in another wide forward who can play both sides but with him signing a new bumper contract I’ve got a feeling he’s here for the long term.

If we sold him he'd be down to just Neto and Podence as our wide forward options. He's about to sign a new contract as Booz says so I don't see him going anywhere.

In others news - we've been linked amongst other Prem clubs with Djed Spence at Middlesbrough.

As long as the player is relatively happy and not causing issues I wouldn't cash out (unless we needed to for the cash but surely we don't)

I've not been Traore's biggest fan (for the record I think he's a great player just not as good as many were making out, at a certain time the wider media seemed to suggest we were a one man team when even when he was on form it was far far from that) and put him behind Podence and Neto easily BUT when he's firing there's no better impact option to have than him.

Nobody can really come on and change a game so directly as we know he can.

So as long as everything's sweet behind the scenes I'd keep him as a very good asset to the squad.

Looking at how Partey played against Man Utd, that would be the next big upgrade that would make the biggest difference. Basically Dendoncker but with more ability and composure on the ball.

Now obviously we can’t sign him, but someone like him. We’ve been linked with Soumare, is he the same type of player?

Wouldn't say Soumare is the same type of player tbf (from the limited amount I have seen) but think he would add something we miss in other ways. He carries the ball very well through the middle of the pitch.

Agree with that YW, next step up is that midfielder who can add greater edge at that end of the pitch - I like Soumare, and he looks like he should score goals, but he hasn’t done - I’m not sure whether that’s because of the position he plays or if that’s not a natural part of his game.

Khedira links have been on and off for a year or so. He's nothing like our profile. Cracking player when he's fit, but he isn't very often.

Presumably West Ham's physios are bored now Jack and Andy have left.

Presumably we would look to replace him with a player more similar to Neto and Podence. If we brought someone in that is a direct challenger to these two I wouldn't be averse to selling him.

I'm not sure whether to read much into Traore's contract or not. It might just be preserving his value.

I don't see anyone buying in Jan as I doubt clubs will have more money at that point than they did in the summer. Think he'll be here for the season - then maybe go next summer.

While he is unique and pretty much not someone you can directly replace, we can probably find players that better fit the system. Off the top of my head I'd be thinking about

Calvin Stengs (AZ)
Mohammed Ihattaren (PSV)
Mounir Chouiar (Dijon)

Or maybe a cheeky loan bid for Trincao :) (hey, Leicester weren't shy). Or Leao, though he seems to be pretty settled at Milan now.

If Rodrigo de Paul is available (since Leeds were getting heavily linked) I'd absolutely kill to get him here. But, he is more of an orthodox 8/10.

One way to look at it. Another is that he’s now on substantially more than he was before so any potential suitors would have to pay him more than they would have in the summer. He’s not going to leave for less money. Could that harm his value? He’s still nowhere near good enough for someone to spunk a substantial transfer fee on and £100k+ per week in wages.

Either way I still think he’s in Nuno’s long term plans but it will take a hell of a lot of work to get him contributing again, he’s regressed badly since lockdown.

We've been linked to Djed Spence of Middlesbrough - God knows why as we're hardly short of WBs - but watching him last night vs Blackburn he's simply a good Champ. RWB. He reminded me a bit of Dom Iorfa, but the difference between watching him last night and watching RAN play vs PSG was chalk and cheese. No disrespect to Djed, but he's at least two levels below where we are now

Tweets from Midds fans don't seem to be too bothered about him going as long as they receive fair coin.

We're not going to sign another RWB. If there's any link at all it might be because we looked at him as a back up incase the Hoever deal didn't go through.

I can't see us signing anyone in Jan tbh, unless we lose someone of course. Maybe a young keeper if one becomes available.

Only things we might look at is goalkeeper cover if Ruddy wants to move on for his last few years or an attacking central midfielder if the right one becomes available on our radar.

David Alaba is available... *whistles casually*

If only! Heart set on going to Spain I think, sounds like he is demanding a hell of a lot too.

I'd be up for freeing Donny Van de Beek from United
