General Wolves News

Obviously any knock can take a bit away from anyone's game but it's no excuse for spending 90% of your time in the pitch within 5 yards of the touchline when it's blatantly counterproductive to the rest of the team. I find it more annoying watching him, or anyone for that matter, continually doing the wrong thing, even if successful at it, than attempting something more beneficial and failing.

The team is ultimately Nuno's responsibility though, not Adama's. The same is true for his choices on the pitch. Either he's not doing what Nuno wants continually or Nuno's fine with him doing it.

I would have guessed at his shoulder more than anything else, but anyone can see he's been off since the restart (same as Raul was, although that was probably fatigue related)

Not surprised if Traore has injuries as he is remorslessly targeted every game & has had little protection.

It's a by product of what he is & his reputation, by will take a toll

So looking at the table, we are 5 points away from 9th place.

It's going to be a struggle just to finish top 10 this season, especially if Raul is out for most of it.

Still think we will make Top 10. Only side below us who I would expect to move up is Arsenal.

West Ham and Saints form has dropped off, and dont expect Villa to keep getting results - they will hit a run of games where they dont pick up points

West Ham have a very good run of games coming up. Whether they take advantage is another matter.

Their last 2 home games theyve drawn with 10 man Palace and Brighton. Saints and Everton both away up next.

We finish above West Ham

Raul will be out for the majority if not all. What we do in January to cover that will be key
He will & should be - he needs time to recover from that amount of trauma.

Hopefully we can bring in some level of cover in Jan to prevent him trying to come back too early - am sure that he will want to return ASAP, but needs to be guided by the medical staff & prevented from doing so if neccesary whatever position we are in.

Think if we can sort our attacking play out, we can get back to being a top six performing side. As Kenny says, key to that is our business in January as well as a more settled approach (I'd stick with the 4231).

I think we will finish in the top ten, just not sure where exactly yet.

bit disappointing to see such a focus on signing attackers. there's no reason we can't score goals with our current players. wish nuno and co would sort out our absolutely dogshit negative attacking play to make use of the players we already have. surely neto, podence, silva, traore, etc. have a few more goals in them.

Adama traore was the joint fifth most creative player in the premier league in the 2020 calendar year

(athletic article, xA 0.24 per 90)

Nuno gets the inevitable Improper Conduct charge for the Lee Mason comments

For it being “personally offensive”. And that’s all they can try. I’d tell them to stick it and challenge it.

Total bollocks from the FA as usual. That is why refs generally are dogshit. No one can critisise them, when they need to be.

Anyone seen the Man U penalty given against Villa - and yet we had Silva and Traore both not given !!!!

yeah I mentioned it in the live games thread. Said there I could live with those being given but we certainly are not getting the rub of the green...we could have had 3 pens in the last few games, instead we got people moaning about us diving and a yellow card for Traore......starting to really piss me off
