Loan Watch 2020-2021

Recalling him because he’s a better option off the bench than the youngsters we’ve had on there the last few games, I assume.

Very much so. Podence being out for "some weeks" leaves us a lot light in the position he has been playing in recently, so its MGW and Vits to cover that role.

If he's fit I'd put him straight in. He's our player whereas Vitinha at the moment isn't so I'd rather see what he can do first. He's exactly the type of player we need in the 4213, time to see if he's good enough.

As I've previously said, I would let him finish his loan spell.

HOWEVER, if he is brought back with an eye on playing regularly and in that number ten position, it represents an excellent opportunity. He has the talent and creativity to actually give our attacking some life. I might do some analysis on it tomorrow/Friday actually

I'm happy with recalling him. Proved he was far too good for the Championship and Vitinha has shown flashes, but nothing that would convince me to turn his loan into a permanent at the moment.

Certainly not at the rumoured £20m.

I'd sooner put the time and effort into MGW. I reckon he'll be cracking in that 10 role with Neto/Adama either side and Donck/Neves behind.

I think we will sign Vitinha (and RAN) anyway. Vitinha in particular just needs time to adapt, and I think will need to play deeper long term anyway.

Timsy - Gibbs-White returning increases the chances of Taylor Perry (who's impressed for the U23s and been on the bench lately) getting a loan move. Wolves would also like to get Theo Corbeanu out on loan.

It’s certainly more suited to his style than all the other positions he’s been shoehorned in.

They are the same age. So if you’re going to sign someone for a large sum of money then they need to be a clear upgrade.

From what you’ve seen, what makes you feel this to be the case (the playing deeper bit).

Did he? Not really looked other than the Loan thread
Depends on how long you want him to have proved it really. Yes, but only for a few games before he got injured

He was excellent for Swansea - hope he comes back with confidence and makes a go of it. Will probably help him not having fans in the ground..

It's a limited sample, his style just seems more like he wants the ball to feet in front of defenders, and keeps it ticking with short passes. As someone has just said to me on twitter, we are going to need to see a bit more tenacity from him.

It could be a very young forward 4

Silva
Neto MGW Adama

Obviously Adama isn't young but the rest are!
