The Goggle Box Thread

Agatha Harkness has a lot to do with Franklin Richards so I live in hope that MCU might finally get the Fantastic Four not being shite.

I also thought that her rabbit Señor Scratchy was a reference to her son Nicholas Scratch and that he'd be appearing. Was just a misdirect though. They did a lot of those in WV!

The problem is they pick and choose which bits of comic storylines they want to use so you have no idea what is a genuine hint to stuff coming and what isn't.

Most important thing was the kids never existed. Straight out of House of M and Avengers #500

Can I expect to see The White Vision again? He kinda just fucked off.

Is Wandavision worth a watch even if you aren’t that big of a marvel fan? I’ve seen most of the avengers movies :D

You need to have seen Infinity War and Endgame as that is what it's based on.

Yes I think so. I thought once he'd got all his old memories he'd be off to see Wanda, but I guess he's got a lot of stuff to unpack. His father essentially being Tony Stark who's now dead, Ultron, losing the Mind Stone, dying, etc.

Not so sure about that now. Did you watch the post-credits stinger with Wanda in the hut?
Was there any extra significance to her looking through the book of the dead and drinking a coffee outside simultaneously , or was that just standard witchy stuff?

Yes. They never existed. It’s one of the most important things in the comics about Wanda going insane. MCU aren’t going to fuck with that or the ghost of Stan is going to be annoyed.

It was astral projection, the same as Dr Strange does a couple of times in his movie. It shows that Wanda is quickly learning and mastering the magical arts.

As she's flicking through the Darkhold learning its spells, she hears the voices of her kids saying "mom, help us". And she quickly stops and has a determined look on her face.

Maybe they were somehow sucked into the book because they were created near the Darkhold. Maybe Wanda will try to use the spells to pull them from back from inside the Darkhold.

Currently watching The Terror on BBC2.
Ridley Scott's drama about Franklin's doomed expedition to the Arctic
Started watching that then got a phone call 10 mins in so missed the next 30 - have caught up through iplayer.

Decent start & will be worth continuing with.

Loving Bloodlands with Jimmy Nesbitt. Fantastic stuff. Final episode on Sunday then Line Of Duty starts again.

Have tried it twice and fell asleep both times, no the fault of the programme, just me after a meal !

I'd never watched it until about a month ago! But saw it pushed on iPlayer and obviously there's nowt to do at the moment, so Mrs DW and I gave it a go, we're hooked. Only on Series 3 but we plan on bingeing the lot before the new series starts.

There a good interview with Mercurio by Mary Beard on the iPlayer.

He talks through his shows starting with Bodies which is also on the iPlayer.

The wife and I are big fans of his work even though he was bought up in Cannock (Wolverhampton should definitely claim him as our own).
