Coronavirus

Personally i don't have an issue with passports once everyone has had the oppprtunity to have had the jab. Be interested to see if it was challenged legally if it would hold up beforehand though. Has to be discriminatory based on age.
certain forms of age discrimination have been held to be lawful though. Pension age, bus passes/travel concessions for example. Most strikingly people under the age of 25 receive significantly less jobseekers allowance/income support, and I assume the calculations are similar for universal credit. There's also the single room rent notion, that initially applied to under 25s, and was suppposed to be extended to under 35s,

None of those enable/prevent you to do/not do something based purely on age though.

dunno, not having the money prevents you from doing loads of things, and the decision is purely based on your date of birth.

fwiw, I think you nailed it earlier in the thread. internally, business' won't sign up for it unless required (eg a licensing condition for a festival, or event), pubs won't enforce it (i see they'll be exempt anyway), and it will be impossible to police.

however, other countries are likely to require something in order to allow entry for international travel, so we'll probably have some meaningless bolt on so the government can argue it is doing "something" (which equates to handing out some more contracts to their mates).

Just been dragged to a Garden Centre. Good news everyone, we are Covid free...

I am presuming that because no one gave a shit. One way systems ignored & people barging others out of the way. It's been a year but a nice reminder as to why I generally hate other people in shops. Selfish fuckwits

I was going to go to Wergs garden centre today as I have a couple of days holiday to sort out the borders but the weather forecast looks dodgy for putting new plants in this week. Supposed to get pretty chilly.

feel it has been that way for a while. popped into a homebase as it opened, and had the same experience. the worst offenders were the staff mind.

it's really odd. sometimes on a walk people are fantastic in moving/allowing space. others however clearly have zero fucking intention of giving anyone else space, or at least, deviating from their own chose path.

So the EMA have added Blood Clots to the very rare side effects of having the AZ jab. Nothing more, everyone can have it.
MHRA have decided that no one under 30 will have the AZ jab in the UK. They were already planning on giving that age group the J&J vaccine anyway so the change of course isn't anything drastic and still don't say its unsafe and essentially the same wording as the EMA.

With the news coming out of India that they won't be exporting anything until at least June, this just covers the Government should they miss the July target. We already know we are 5m doses short and no doubt more due from the plant over there.

In better news though, Moderna has now started to come through (Wales today, Scotland expecting to start soon and England will see the first jab on the 19th), J&J is now actually in for approval and Novatech (I think) is in for approval and production has already started to have that one ready to go.

Flights and car booked for my trip back home in a few weeks.
Hoping to get the vaccine before I fly.
My work place is looking to help with getting me an appointment hopefully J&J!
However, applicants do not have a choice in which vaccine they get

tickets for penn and tellers tour in july have been rescheduled to june 2023!

Finding gaps in venues for next year is going to be tough going I guess. 2020 and at least 7 months of 2021 to move around

Had my 1st vaccine yesterday morning, by around 10pm last night I was feeling a bit cold and achey across my shoulders and neck and had a slight headache. Still a bit tender around the shoulders today but feeling much better.

Saw them a few years ago in Vegas. Had missed they were back over here touring (or not touring in this case)

Haircuts from Monday ay it?
And a pint in the open air...

I have seen a few pubs who have created new outdoor areas though and one had 3 solid walls, a roof and the open bit was about a metre from the pub wall so well covered. Pushing the outdoor description to the max.

Oh well, will be short and sweet for them then
