Fulham 0-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I thought it really weird we were using Adama as the target man for longer balls to the centre last night, even when Jose was still on. I know he’s got a good jump on him, but it’s hardly playing to his strengths. And if we don’t use Jose to hold the ball up and bring other players in then I really don’t know what we do use him for.

Saiss' distribution was annoying me last night, too many times he belted it forward to no one

I'm looking forward to Fabio coming on now as a player who can affect the game rather than just a 'kid getting minutes'. Turning into one of the bright spots in a season that's hard to like. Good attitude, definite ability and bodes well for next season.

Regarding our other big summer signing, I meant to mention in my review, but (as a few others have said) that was up there with Semedo's best of the season for me. Looked confident and skilful going forwards and generally composed at the back.

Need to work on a system where both players can shine next season

Christ, that was awful. Anyone who thinks 'the result is all that matters' is fooling themselves. Much as Nuno loves his players, much as he's a bloody good bloke, right now he's doing exactly what Valencia/Porto fans said he would. An xG of 0.5 against a poor Fulham team without their best player.

Agreed nice to say he had a really good game without the 'apart from'

He seems to be harvesting a bit of arrogance and gets himself a bit now in the same way Jota used to as well. He had a few nibbles at Fulham players but not as blatantly obvious as he would have earlier in the season where nine times out of ten it lead to fouls.

Yep, he needs to harvest the 'butter wouldn't melt' look while he's still got that baby face 😈

Well, after a lovely nights sleep, lets recap. Most important, 3 points. Criticism of Podence, considering he is not match fit, he is doing ok. Clean sheet, and playing Friday night games seems to suit us. Traores goal, if their keeper had touched it he would have 3rd degree burns. Nuno is smiling again (and so am i ). The celebrations for our winner shows we have "togetherness" in our squad. And lastly VAR, FUCK IT. What would that goal have done for Joses confidence.

Neves is having a good season comparatively, but what do people think about him letting Saiss take the free kick last night?

Bit too close for him and better angle for a left footer or has he lost a bit of conviction about his shooting? I'm sure he let someone else take one against West Ham too?

Tough one to get up and down so quickly so close to goal so for me it was the right idea, as despite the keeper being shaded to that side, the ball was closing to going in the top corner than it was to being too close to the keeper. If that makes sense.

We've said this everytime we've played Fulham under Parker, but what is he doing with Mitrovic? He is what he is, it's not subtle so play to his strengths or don't play him at all.

Was that almost an acceptance that the recruitment process was mildly successful ?? :)

Fair play

I don't think a lot of it was what we needed this season, but I've never thought any of the players looked stinkers.

I thought RAN had a really solid game too. When the full backs are on it we area much more solid team.

I'd like to see him encouraged to have a foray forward more often. He definitely has it in his locker, but errs on the conservative side a lot. Getting better though
