First half they were both much higher and then second half was all over the place.

Putting 3 up top and no-one in attacking midfield doesn't work.

It never does, it's like we never learn. Really need fresh attacking coaching to get the best out of these players.
 
Hats off to Joao Moutinho for one of the most abysmal performances I’ve ever seen from such a good footballer. Why Nuno kept him on for as long as he did, or even started him in the first place when you’ve got Vitinha available, I’ll never know.

Completely toothless. We could play for a week and not score. Thank God there’s only one game left - this season has been shite in every way.
 
Well I think I've been watching a different game to everyone else, thought we played well, bossed it for most of the game apart from 10 minutes just after they scored. Obviously we are toothless up front and final ball wasn't quite there. Didn't deserve to lose, they scored from a none corner and we should have had a penalty.
 
An absolutely nothing game that had me feeling nothing other than pure fucking rage at that Doucoure handball decision. That doesn't make the VAR 'officials' look inept, it makes them look like a bunch of corrupt cunts who just fancy a laugh. This time at our expense. I'm seriously considering spending hundreds on the game again next season if the PL are happy to let that kind of bullshit happen without a second thought. Fucking scandalous.

They did their job. Scored and defended extremely well.

Like we have in the last two seasons.

You might notice I was saying this about 3 times on the match thread? So many corners wasted because the arrogant idiot has to take them.

I was watching the same game & agree with you.
 
Goal scoring is a huge issue, sorry but Nuno has to take some blame for a complete inability to tackle the set piece issue all season.
Yep good the season ends Sunday but I don’t think that’ll end our problems unless serious work is done in the summer, it’s not a reset button and we have serious issues.
Moutinho legs look gone I’m afraid and playing at this pace of game might be taking its toll, sad to see such a good player perform so poorly today.
Having said that no worse than And Madeley never seen a more inconsistent homer of a ref some truly baffling decisions at times, MGW was clearly fouled first half and it was given the other way. The penalty decision is on Graham Scott on VAR.
We could actually finish below Newcastle as things are going which is a sad indictment on this season.

Some fucking respect please!! Arrogant idiot come on. Can say Mout has had a shit game tonight but calling him arrogant and an idiot are things you can't throw at Moutinho.
Its not just him thats shit at set plays, its been every player involved in the last few months. Don't recall the arrogant idiot getting grief when his desire to take every corner had him getting assists or creating chances
 
First half was very encouraging, front foot, pressing high and us forcing the issue. Traore was doing what Traore can do....but those set pieces need work.

Second half, early goal killed us. Everton could then soak up and hit us on the break. We didn't really have the personnel to open them up.

On the plus side, our thrown ins seem better now
 
Well, i had a great day today, clay pidgeon shooting, then took my good lady out for a nice pub meal, all was great, until 6 pm. Nuno you have a really busy summer. Fourth lowest scorers in the Premier, SHOCKING.
 
I know, it's like we lost our first choice top quality striker for six months or something. Shocking.

You are in denial. We lost tonight because of his shortcomings as a player clearly past his best. Endless wasted corners & gave the ball away when fortunately they did not score. I like Moutinho but you cannot live on past glories. He clearly thinks he still cuts it - so arrogant idiot.
