The Bruno Lage Appreciation Thread

The chiselled jawline for one. Im jealous as Ive always had a double chin.

I'm nearer 50 than 30. That much is true.

It's all about tea tree and mint if we're on haircare.

I can appreciate how much he looks like this fella:

I mean that Pep Guardiola, who'd have appointed him for his first job, eh? Couldn't even win the Spanish League 2 with Barcelona B team but got given the managers job a year later. They must have been mad, an absolute nobody in managerial terms... He then proceeded to sell most of the star players in his 1st off season. Sheer lunacy. Crazy appointment. He must have got lucky winning the treble in his first year...

For clarification, I am not saying Lage is anything comparable to Pep, but managers arrive at success following different paths, some less expected than others. To say Lage will fail based on his track record is asinine, there just isn't any evidence to support it. The contrary in fact. Comparing him to Saunders is even more asinine, as Saunders had a consistent record of failure and idiocy.

What will be the outcome for Bruno Lage? We don't know, we just have to embrace finding out. I hope he's closer to Pep than to Saunders, but I don't expect him to be a massive drop off from Nuno in all honesty, and you never know, we might actually produce a few games of entertaining, attacking football.

So does Claudio Ranieri. In a better league. Would you like him? How about Frank de Boer?

He has next to nothing on his CV.
Just answering the question, he has won a 'major' league, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have got rid of Nuno in the first place and wouldn't have chosen Lage, I've no idea who I would have chosen tbh.
Just can't be doing with this doom and gloom about him without a ball being kicked. I will reserve moaning about him till we're in the bottom 3 come November.

Die yer hair blonde, the scalp doesn't show through so much.👍

I know we have spoken about the journalists covering Wolves loads of times but how come none of them have done any form of digging on what is going on with the backroom staff?

I mentioned it on another thread briefly but usually when the players report back they have various fitness plans given to them and tests to do. Lage definitely can't do all that by himself.

Maybe there will be an announcement tomorrow but if not it's going to be a bizarre situation when they report in on Monday. Thought Spiers or someone may have given us an idea by now.

It feels like the journos have forgotten that. Which is odd as Nunos boys wanted to stay but were removed. There has to be a reason for that surely?

An emotional return for Rob Edwards and his earpiece.
