Pre-season friendly thread

I don’t think anyone is going to pay us any money for him so we may as well give him a go. 442 is literally perfect for him so if he doesn’t do well now then he never will

That made me laugh! I was trying to find stuff/reports on Cutrone as I thought he'd gone and really didn't have rate him. So reading that made me laugh...
 
I’m sure I have recollections of an old joke about a bloke sitting at a table in a pub with a foot high dude playing a miniature piano on the table in front of him. Something about a hard of hearing genie thinking he’d asked for a 12” pianist…
 
They mentioned yesterday too that Mir is with the Olympic squad, I hold out more hope for him than Cutrone.
 
If we kept him around as a back up in this formation I wouldn’t be upset, tbh. Just don’t see him sticking around

If we are playing a 2, then we need 4 credible options, be them out and out forwards or hybrid players. It's why links to centre forwards make sense. Raul + 1 to start, Fabio 3rd choice and another. Cutrone would be ok talent wise as number 4, his history of accepting that position would suggest that won't work out though. The issue we have is it's difficult to see that role being taken by someone from the u23s which really it should be given our model.
 
Cutrone has in the last couple of weeks come out and said he wants to move and he wants to go to a team that "will bet on me and allow me to play continuously"

Doesn't seem to understand that you earn runs in the team with performances and he hasn't put in any decent runs of form for about 3 years.

Destined for a career in Serie B
 
He sounds like a man who thinks he is better than he is. Get rid.
 
There isn't a realistic scenario whereby Mir should still be here come the end of August. We now know the financial situation, irrespective of what you think about it, you absolutely have to take that money. Nobody is giving a brass farthing for Cutrone it'll just be another loan with at best his wages being covered

Where did you get that?
I watched them plenty in training and never seen Otasowie, or indeed anyone question Nuno.

Speaking to someone close to Nuno, the only player who had an attitude problem, was Bright

Well Spiers has said it plenty of times and I have a media friend who I'm not going to name who confirms it. He's not disruptive, but equally not complaint if he has an issue.

Quite interesting thanks TT, tgis time may be different due to Covid, I am not sure we will be able to get close to the team or support staff, so cant ask any questions
