Pre-season friendly thread

Saw a couple of videos. We were playing in a black kit. Away shirt?
 
Our old friend Alfred N'Diaye plays for Al-Shabab. He'd actually get more game time for us now then he did when he was here.
 
I do love Big Willy but starting to get a little concerned at his injuries recently, excluding the Covid diagnosis this is his third muscle injury/knock in 9 months.

Hopefully he comes through it and its non-serious but if we lost him for any amount of time it makes the defensive situation even more complicated.
 
Not really tried to either which is a bit weird as it was obvious a player similar to that (but better, obviously) would give us something different off the bench or in certain games from the start.

The glory days of us playing Alf as a false 9 towards the end of games. He actually looked alright at it.

He’d fit well with the current plans. Though perhaps that’s the role planned for MGW.
 
I do wonder that given the pitfalls of this system (if we go for it, on the signs so far we shouldn't!), if we do manage to get another bona fide first team CH in that we'd look at putting Saiss back into midfield. Don't ask him to do a huge amount, just sit in front. We have huge issues as it stands whenever we lose the ball, you run straight onto our defence and the full backs are frequently nowhere.
 
Should be Donks role as it stands though, perhaps Saiss is more suited which is again a worry.

You'd like to think Saiss would take the yellow all day long in the Lingard situation too.
 
So is that dark green with the yellow/orange flashes the new away kit?
 
No idea! I looked at those for about 5 seconds before bleaching my eyes.
 
Coady has the captains armband over it, thats the away shirt not a training top.
