Welcome new members

Greetings from the USA. While my number one club is my local MLS team, the New England Revolution, I also closely follow and support the Wolves. This is in part due to my grandfather's uncle, David Wykes, playing for the Wolves in the late 19th century. Due to that family history, I have felt a close association with the team. That I can easily now watch their games has added to my enthusiasm for supporting the team.

Thanks for having me and I look forward to the discussions!

Welcome on board P Wykes. Hope you enjoy it round these parts...

Welcome mate, still fascinates me that people from so far away want to follow our club, there's a few of your countrymen on here, have fun

Dear all
I was born in Wolverhampton in 1969 but we moved uo to West Yorkshire when I was 3.
I still remember seeing the "orange and black" scarves of people when I was little in the town.
Anyway, I was the only Wolves supporter growing up in Huddersfield. That was tough. Especially as we were pretty rubbish back then. And everyone followed LIverpool or Man Utd.
Now I am a dad and want to get my boy to have some understanding of what it is like to be a Wolves fan (the highs and lows).
I have not managed to get down there for any matches for a while but it is time I did. And tickets are now hard to come by.
Next season I will buy membership but it does not seem worthwhile this season now it is nearly over.
I hope to bring my boy (11 yrs old) down to watch the Villa match if any tickets are on general sale soon.
If anyone has any they are not going to use please do get in touch
All the best.

Villa tickets won't go on general sale I wouldn't imagine, so you'd need a membership.

Home tickets aren't that difficult to buy, there's a myth it's near impossible to get them. It really isn't if you're a member

Yep, tickets have been straightforward to get this season, we're members and have so far managed to get 3 tickets together in decent seats to the games we've been to.
There always seem to be tickets that make it to general sale but mostly they are singles I think.
Worth keeping your eyes on the website though

A very warm welcome. Yes a membership seems to be the way to get tickets which didn’t look likely last summer but it’s not been too hard this season

No one going to bite on the "orange and black"? 😂

Welcome Al

As a 3 year old "orange and black" is as good as it gets.
I have bought the membership after the advice given.
But look forward to more banter about "old gold" and its various iterations over the years.

Hi all .. Oldie ( I remember Derek Dougan still playing) newbie here. I'm Scottish and didn't follow the usual tartan route back in the 70s ( not much has changed) of following Man U or Liverpool. I was given a book in 1975 that featured an iconic photo of Wolves in the magnificent Lev Yashin stadium (1955). Still have the book it's in about the same nick I am! As Wolves had recently appeared in a cup final I was officially a glory hunter and looked forward to many more trophies in the years to come. Its taken me a while to join the forum and hopefully look forward to many posts in the years to come ! Member of the Scottish Wolves ( North East) Supporters Club.
