The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Fabulous. Love a philharmonic orchestra. Or rather, occasionally, at the right time, can be magnificent.

Outdoors in Prague has got to be pretty special. Love the way free pop-ups of classical performances are common place abroad and appreciated by the masses. Beats Gangster rap that’s for sure.

I wouldn’t mind gangster rap either to be fair. But this in the sun is very cool.

Went to Vienna a few days ago because the Vienna philharmonic orchestra do a free Sommernachtskonzert at Shonbrunn palace as a gift to the people of Vienna. It was truly magnificent.

Last concert I went to a few weeks ago was bouncing about like an 18 year old at the Brixton Academy, watching The Chainsmokers and The Stickmen Project. That was bloody great fun. Do love the diversity and try to appreciate art in all its forms, but that’s probably an age thing and evolved over time.

Wasn’t that long ago couldn’t have imagined ever going to something like this, but there you go, was amazing:

Been nominated for a recognition award at work by my peers. Especially pleasing as whoever nominated me knows how hard I am working & truly sees the benefits, but also I usually think they all think I am a bit of an oddball, so it's quite endearing.
Nice one

Although I hope you have an Awards night and due to a prior engagement you can't attend so Darlo has to accept the award on your behalf

I've never told anyone about your odd balls, but anyway hearty congratulations my friend :)

Wow! Brixton Academy looks way better at night than it does in the day

Steve wright finally leaving weekday radio 2, Scott mills is taking over though, so err yea

Big day in the household today - just heading off to Brighton for my son’s graduation ceremony at the University of Sussex. Then straight up to Birmingham for my wife’s PhD graduation at the UoB tomorrow.

Never would have thought when my wife started out on her journey over 6 years ago while the lad was still at school, there would one day be back-to-back graduations.

So proud of the pair of them.

I'll be in the vicinity of your good lady's ceremony matey. I always go to graduation ceremonies for my students as a helpful reminder of why I do what I do.
Completing a PhD is a very significant achievement. Many congrats to her (& your lad!)

Bringing another Wolves fan into the world... Mrs PK had 12 week scan this week, baby all healthy and fine so far, so telling family and friends now 🙂 due middle of Jan next year...

Already have three teenage boys from previous relationship, so wouldn't mind a girl this time haha... But obvs healthy mum and baby are all that matters

Good to know as I enter my late 40s that I'm not firing blanks 😅

Thanks mate, really looking forward to it. Apologies for the over-sharing, but I lost my mom at the start of the year, so it's a nice counter-balance to that, life goes on and all that 🙂
