Just scored a cracking goal, showing skills you would never expect of a Burnley centre half
Or even Bunley 😀

I was listening to 5live driving home, Kompany wants to play Pepball, he's either going to have to get a lot of new players or it'll go very Stalesque

Burnley released a ton last week, no choice but to sign a lot of players

PSG have apparently sacked Pochettino.

Wolves manager 2024 Paulo Fonseca set to sign a 2 year deal as Lille manager

Rooney leaving Derby according to Percy

If they give it to Rosenior which may or not be why he knocked back Blackpool then other than a change of name back to Derby County it won't make much difference

Bit odd for me. Why wait all summer under such uncertainty, them the minute they look like they've got a decent buyer who buys the stadium too he jacks in?

The cynic in me says the new owner has told him they can't afford him and his staff, so they've let him quit with his reputation intact instead of getting publicly binned.

He's been on holiday and just come back. The Kirshner bid fell through while he was away, they have 6 players with pre season starting on Monday, he's multi millionaire Wayne Rooney, he just doesn't need the hassle. The new owner can't just say I can't afford you without paying him up, it's a football creditor

Timing still seems odd. You would imagine he would want to speak to the new owner before coming to a decision, and multi-millionaire or not, he will be want another managerial post and they are all stressful.

Jeffs been on the phone with him, sack Bruno, get Rooney, then all the players we look at will come flocking in because Rooneys a world famous ex player and big name manager*

* not serious, before you all start having a go, and raising your blood pressure

That lunatic Bassini has obviously got the club then. Non league in five years.

Eustace in. Might be a coincidence, but there's an obvious Watford link

Rooney back to DC United as manager.

Thanks in advance to a kind mod/admin who can change the thread title to 2022/23 x

Weird one as his wife reportedly hated it here last time.
