Keir Starmer at it again..

It will be an exercise of look at you lot voting to keep the lying, rule breaking oaf of a PM in No.10 when last week you were all saying that he should go immediately. Throw in the fact that they are appointing a new PM, which only a couple of hundred thousand will get to elect rather than the electorate as a whole then the political point will be made.

Yep, knew you'd come up with that. Equally the 2 election campaigns claim that the left like to quote was equally debunked. Like I say, pointless because you can get out of it what you choose

I am, sort of, with TT on this. The Forde report allows everyone to exonerate themselves from blame while blaming the "other side".

What I take from it is that the Labour Party leading up to and post the 2017 election set the cause of anti-semitism back. Whether that was not responding or responding too slowly to anti-semitism or using anti-semitism as a cover for factional politics it was all harmful.

There is nothing in the report that would convince me to rejoin the Labour Party and nothing that Starmer offers that makes me think anything has fundamentally changed since he took over. The same issues still exist, they are just under the surface.

I want Corbyn era policies, without Corbyn and his acolytes. I don't think that can ever happen.

Regardless the report says antisemitism was used as a factional weapon against Corbyn. That's what I thought at the time as did many others. Corbyn was suspended for saying as much. It was true though.

Factional weapon or not, the report doesn't deny the institutional anti-Semitism in Labour like some of Corbyn's supporters are trying to paint this as.

Was the recent Chris Pincher scandal not similarly a 'factional weapon'? I highly doubt most Tory MPs genuinely cared that much about the issue, yet plenty of people would say that it was a horrid thing and Johnson deserved to go regardless. Same with Corbyn and anti-Semitism if you ask me.

If you think Labour was riddled with antisemitism under Corbyn I suggest you read the EHRC report.
