What aout Shefali?

I've got only a few crap ones. I mat Jack Charlton on a train on the way to a Wolves game and got his autograph. A current England International cricketer has been to my cricket club to watch his brothers/nephew play for and against us. My sister went out with one of the Charlatans before they made the big time and currently teaches the son of a band member of Embrace. Embrace played a gig in a mates back garden.

Bugger I'd forgotten about her! I've seen Gok Wan as well but you can't really count that can you!

While Robbie Keen was playing for us he was in O'Neils with a crowd of girls around him, stood by the top of the stairs. Another mate who was in there walked up to him and asked him 'excuse me mate, are you Robbie Keen?' to which he smiled in a flattered way looking at the girls and said ' yes I am'

'well do you mind getting out the fucking way then cos I need a piss'

Robbie grassed him up and he was kicked out upon his exit from the toilet

I have no real claims to fame either, I did however walk within a couple of feet of Fergie at Cheltenham this year.

I once walked through the back of a live central news report outside Molineux and someone at work saw me ( I was blissfully unaware). My image was relatively centre stage in a crowd shot the Wolves website always used to use.

I also once spoke on the phone to one of the guys who does the voiceover for the goals round up on the football League show.

I had something similar with Tommy Walsh from Ground Force at Kempton Park. Didn't think it was worth mentioning.

Not really a claim to fame, just a rubbish celeb sighting, but I did once see Richard Madeley spill some drink on his shoes on an EasyJet plane while he was chatting up the air hostesses. Judy looked very puffy.

Now if it was Charlie Dimmock?

Was it you SLA or Mr Templeton who once claimed to exchange glances with Sian Williams at a childs nursery?

I got that beat. BA flight to Murcia, I was going to play La Manga. Over the aisle was KKKenny and his wife. In economy for some reason, I guess he is a tightarse. Anyway he asked for one of those small cans of coke you get, opened it and the lot sprayed all over him.

He played in the group ahead of me and my dad on one of the rounds so we talked while waiting on the tees. He is DOUR.

Carrying on with the racing theme both Barry Gerahty and Nicky Henderson both walked past me in the tented village at Cheltenham. I just can’t believe neither of them recognised me.

They're more common or garden walk pasts though as you’d would expect to see trainers and Jockeys at a racecourse.

More airplane sightings, Nigel Spink once sat in the row in front of me on a flight to Tenerife.

Jackett, Dalglish or your new Business partner?

I was once at East Midlands airport when a last call came over the tannoy for passengers Bull and Dennison to board a plane to some Spanish destination. I didn't get to see them though.

Oh shit, how did I fail to mention this one - we supported the Fratellis at Bham Academy when they toured their second album. Didn't actually get to meet them though!

I've met the following at book signings at WHS head office when I worked there. This list is fucking eclectic!

Geoff Hurst

David Attenborough

June Whitfield!

I witnessed a car crash in Rugeley.....a geezer in a Robin Reliant hit the side of a car and drove off. As I walked down the road, the car that had been hit pulled up and the driver asked if I would go to the Police Station with him so he had a witness for the crash. Being a nice person I did. I had no idea who the guy was and he looked a bit miffed when he said "I am Derek Randall" and I gave him a blank look!! He did give me one of his Testimonial Ties and invited me to the a Notts game as his guest (I never took that offer up for some reason).

Another second-hander. I used to be very good friends with a lad who supplied Iron Maiden with their fruit and veg.

And another rubbish plane sighting one - I saw Stephen Hendry checking in to first class in Thailand after the Bangkok open, while all the other lesser snooker players flew cattle class with us plebs.

My cousin was in the umpires chair yesterday for the Wozniacki Quarterfinal against Makarova, does that count.

Played football with Karl Henry as a kid. My Dad played alongside Sean O'Driscoll when he was a kid. A footballing hotbed.

I served Lee Naylor in Somerfield when I was 16.

Non-football related:

Walked past Sonia outside the Palace theatre in Manchester. She is mega tiny.
I went to school with some musician who is allegedly reasonably well known in some circles but I wouldn't know either way. I also went to school with Walsall's current club doctor. I keep in touch with neither.
Knocked over Clint Boon's drink when he was DJing in Manchester, before he could notice I swiftly moved well away from his immediate vicinity.

Only if they were meant to be there, otherwise you are related to a nutter

Missus' grandad has tiled many famous people's houses; Tom Jones et al.
My grandad on one side played football with Duncan Edwards.
My grandparents on the other side used to have Parkinson over.
Stephen Warnock's mom was sat behind us in a bar in Prague, when we played Villa, and my Villa mates were slagging him off.

That's it.

I once told David Campese that he was a cunt.

I often frequented 42nd Street - an indie club in Manchester - and Fizz from Corrie was often in there. Not even disco lighting can do her any favours.

I've also seen Craig Charles a few times in various bars when he wasn't supposed to be in them.

Loads of celebrity spots at Glasto over the years.
