I'd keep Fabio too, I suspect this Vinicius thing is to get Spurs to think they might be missing out if they don't sign him, especially if Harry goes and they end up without a recognised striker

Will Jiminez come back the same player though. That was one hell of an injury, it sickened me. lets hope he does, and caution is needed. I still often wonder if Luiz meant it. There is talk of Vinicius, he is only on loan at Spurs, and i dont think they want him on a permanent deal.

Not sure whether he meant it or not but it was absolutely fucking reckless by the big, frizzy haired lump and I still want to kick the screen every time I see him lumbering around now

SSN just showed the incident in their piece about changing concussion subs. First time I have seen it since catching it live. He launches himself like an Exocet and is insanely reckless. I had forgotten just how bad it was.

I will never understand how or why he has his hand in Raul's mouth. I have never ever ever seen that happen before or since.

I genuinely don't think Luiz purposefully means to do 80% of the things he does on the pitch.

Seeing that picture Deutsch Wolf, with his hand in Rauls mouth has me more convinced that this was not accidental. Its the first time i have seen a still of this incident. Reckless is an understatement.

Raul Jimenez literally booted a guy in the head doing a bicycle kick earlier in that calendar year. That was reckless and dangerous. The outcome could have been bad, but boots aren’t as hard as skulls. But David Luiz isn’t a Triceratops so going for a header he is risking his own safety, whereas a bicycle kick you aren’t.

He’s a fraction of a second late, it’s bad luck sort a bit of overcomittment. But that’s the type of player David Luiz is.

Strikers are praised when they put their body on the line to score a goal knowing they will take a wack. Defenders are praised when they put their body on the line to save a goal. Obviously it’s not the same as this but it’s similar and no activates the defender or striker in those instances.

Unfortunately Raul is static in zonal marking and Luiz is on the move, they collide. Saiss’ goal against Spurs is basically the same corner but Saiss nips in front of Kane. The same incident could have happened there, but the cross was shorter and Kane was on his heels.

It isn’t. It’s reckless as to potential outcome. It was bad luck that Vince Neil killed Razzle. It was reckless that he drove him at stupid speed to an off licence in a Pantera while pissed.
I don't know what any of this means but I don't think it has anything to do with two footballers attacking the ball from opposite directions and the unlucky bugger who manages to get their first taking a big hit.

Vince Neil is lead singer of Motley Crue. Razzle was drummer of Hanoi Rocks. Neil recklessly took Razzle out for a drive for more beer. It was unlucky that Razzle died.

Luiz was reckless in launching himself into that challenge. It was unlucky Raul got a dreadful injury.

That simple.

I thought I'd wiped a particularly traumatic episode of Jonny Briggs from my childhood memory, until that explanation.

No different to anyone running in to attack a cross, happens thousands of times a season.

I mean it is different, you've played hundreds of games same as I have, ever had your hand in someone's mouth when you jump for a header?! Or seen it happen to anyone else?

It's an accident of course but he's a bloody clown. Accident waiting to happen.

There is no way in this world he ran at that pace and intended to put his hand in his mouth. If you genuinely believe that then it's not recklessness you are accusing him of but pychopathy and that is quite frankly bollocks
