i just knew with this news breaking that some other opportunistic cunt would be throwing out the celtic and rangers to premier league bullshit. step forward massive twat george galloway amongst others

I'm all for making an example of the 6 and chucking them out but am I the only one to feel sorry for the fans of those clubs....they've got no say at all what happens to their club
Well they could create an alternative club, FC Utd of Manchester had the courage to do this in light of the glazier takeover, and I would applaud them for it

I have a feeling that the majority of foreign fans of the "big 6" will think it's a fantastic idea. On paper, they are guaranteed to see their team play against the other biggest in Europe (and the world if we are honest). What's not to like on the surface?

To the rest of us, even armchair fans, the idea of it being a fixed set of clubs with maybe a couple each year being allowed into the club out of the goodness of their hearts with no promotions or relegations it's fecking awful. A major part of following a club properly is to ride the good and bad times and to actually have some suspense of what will happen. The last few seasons have shaken things up a bit with teams threatening to break the strangleholds and teams like Arsenal, Spurs in danger of no European football next season and Liverpool struggling for champions league.

I can't imagine there will be many genuine fans who follow their team and league closely would want this. To people who are far more casual, it's a different matter they just want to see the "big" clubs play each other all the time in glamour fixtures. As long as the TV revenue follows this (and it will) they will get what they want.

"In recent years Juventus have been knocked out by Lyon, Porto and Ajax in the Champions League. Why the f*ck should they be in such a tournament then? Tottenham and Arsenal are currently, probably not, among the 20-30 best teams in Europe"

The market are the people who sit on their arses watching "their" team on TV and will pay a fortune for the privilege, and have never even thought about actively going to Old Trafford or Anfield, that is the market, and they hugely outweigh "proper" fans. And there are millions of them in this country, let alone abroad.
In fairness, for a lot of people this is the only option.

PPV is pricey but it's absolutely dirt cheap relative to travel/board expenses.

I love him.

Please Lord, let there be fans allowed in for the last games of the season.
Even with reduced numbers can you imagine the shit the so called big six will get from opposing home fans

Have any active players made comment about it?

Our own Daniel Podence has, Bruno Fernandes, João cancelo, a few ex pros.

Very fucking few players from the "big 12" (I hate that already)

If this actually comes to fruition I might just stop watching football altogether.
