Bear in mind that's the same fool who sold Makelele because he thought fans weren't interested in a player like that.

A Class A dickhead.

I’ve just read what Perez said and I’m fuming about it. Football should only be about the big teams playing each other and making more money. Nobody wants to watch big teams against a smaller team. Er, what about the supporters of those smaller teams? Disgraceful comments. What a cunt.

Oliver Holt saying 2 English teams losing their nerve (presume Spurs have bottled it again...)

If a team pulls out of this its going to cost them as they have already signed contracts etc. Hope it puts them in a position where they have to sell anything with value.

Regardless if they pull out there should be a massive penalty to all the clubs involved (not a fine) i.e. bare minimum say a 20 points deduction (so they can't qualify for any European tournament next season and/or be relegated).

If they pull out and nothing happens we all know they'll try something similar again in a few years time.

Yep a lot saying two clubs are getting cold feat. Good bet it’s City and Spurs, once one folds watch the rest start falling.

Apparently Chelsea and Man City were the most reluctant to sign up to begin with so you would guess it’s them.

Maybe like the rest of us when we sign up for something, they get a 14 day cooling off period....

Make sense its City & Chelsea, least to gain from this.

Spurs have the most to gain and least to lose. They’re dreadful on the pitch and need to start paying back that stadium.

It’s actually funny that they are considered in the same bracket as the others, purely because of the league they come from.

As said, City and Chelsea have the least to gain. They don’t really need extra money and they don’t have the same global pull of the others (excluding Spurs obv). So if anything City will be weaker. Will certainly be harder to have the success they are having.

I'll be interested to see what the talks with government can do. Personally I don't think that they can force through any sort of ownership changes so the only support that they can really give is to back the FA to sanction them however they choose to.

From a clubs perspective I'd be a bit wary of them when last year they were prepared to throw footballers under the bus because they earn handsome amounts and left it up to the bigger clubs to bail out the smaller ones.

I find the whole "clubs are losing money" argument a bit rich, especially from RM when they've paid some stupendous transfer fees and wages, to then say they're going to "save football". Seriously just fuck off, maybe don't spend money you don't have!? Maybe, let Bale go when you get reasonable offers.

The 16-24 not interested is hardly surprising either, when match day tickets cost so much the "dad's and lads" initiation which a lot of us went through which caused us to fall in love with the game is lost. If I'd never been to a live match and only watched on TV I don't think I'd love football as much as I do. It's not just wolves I love, it's football in general - if my dad hadn't been able to afford to take me I wouldn't have had the opportunity. Football is probably unique in this respect, if you give people the opportunity to go they'll come back again and again in many forms, you jack the price up which stops them seeing live games - you've cut off all other avenues too.

Table without the 6 or results against them

I dont think we’ll get a response quite like what we got from the UEFA president yesterday from the Premier League but I do think an ultimatum will be issued of “pull out & apologise” or else. With it being apparently United & Madrid spear heading this neither one will pull & I can see a lengthy and costly court battle coming up before this is all said and done.

If any of the six wish to pull out then I think there should be an amnesty. All six have already lost the goodwill of supporters across the country, they will pay in other ways. All six have had their reputations shredded by this but if one or two pull out it will start to derail the whole thing.
