The All New Alan Partridge Thread

That was brilliant. Much better than series 1. More like old skool Alan.

Must give it a watch, didn't bother last night cos thought the previous series was a bit meh

The interaction with the reporter Ruth is brilliant.

I enjoyed the slapstick and comic timing of trying to get out of the greenhouse, and wonder how many takes that opening took

Missed the first episode, saw last nights, was good, not as good as the series with Joe and Cheeky's first appearance but enjoyable all the same

Couple of flashbacks to Knowing Me, Knowing You. All kicking off with a triumphant "AHA"

The description of the journeys back and forth from the clothes shop was brilliant. Simon's error in surveying prisoners on what to do with prisoners was genius

Big drop from episode one. Jo Beasley serving only to remind how consistently funny Partridge used to be.

at the NIA in brum (or whatever it is called now - that place has had about 60 names in the past 5 years...) next april

Am I the only one who finds it a bit tired?
No. I've been a Partridge fan from the beginning and it was consistently brilliant but I'm Alan Partridge is genius level stuff. Things definitely dropped a level with the change in writing team. Both series of This Time have had moments of greatness surrounded by lots of mediocrity.

This is now on Amazon Prime - watched it earlier and although some of the musical numbers fall a bit flat, some of the gags are incredible.
I was disappointed with this tbh.
