I know i have been gone for a few years, but where am i going to go to get me a pack of 10p pick and mix, a can of shandy bass, a 10p bag of space raiders and of course my 8p Freddo?
thanks to brexit, most of your deluxe items are £1 now...

Yesterday I realised I ran out of shaving foam and I needed a shave. Now you can put this down to bad planning on my part but I have the following options:

a) Wait until Saturday until Mrs DW and I go to town
b) Order online and wait a day or two. But I need to order a load of other stuff too, you can't just buy that
c) Grow a beard
d) Go and get some

I went with D. A&B mean I'll be irritated for the whole week and C is not an option as I'll look terrible.

I do my main shop online but I do use the local shops a fair bit and online isn't always viable.

Ray, "corner shops" are not a thing any more, they don't exist.
Just use some soap on your face and foam it up. It works fine for a couple of shaves.

Touch wood but not too many ill effects nearly 24 hours on. Woke up a couple of times in the night feeling cold but that's probably because it was cold. A few aches and pains in various areas (even more so than normal) and a big drop in energy, got nothing in my legs at all, I'm moving like Lawrie Madden. But given some of the stories I'll take that.

No one under the age of 40 should be offered the AZ vaccine in the UK. We are now flipping with Germany, who have dropped the AZ for over 55's only to anyone can have it.

We are due to get some good news from today with the travel corridor announcements, leading into Mondays confirmation of the next stage of lifting restrictions from the 17th...so get ready for the usual shit load of negative press stories that will concentrate on everything bad. No idea why we get the doubling down when better news is being put out there, but we do,

I know you have to draw the line somewhere but I'm 40 years and 26 days old or something :D

Born a month later and no no, you can't have that. Our kid is still 38 until November so he won't be having his Brave British Vaccine, I'll break the news to him later.

Probably holding it back for the mooted booster shot programme?

Interesting to see what they say about international travel; I see Easyjet are already offering discounted PCR tests at £60 a pop.

Booster shots will be slightly different than the current vaccine to counter the variants better (even though they do a cracking job right now)

I'm the same, 40 in February, but won't be getting the AZ.

Hopefully they'll bring forward the AZ second shots..?

Yeah, I think that will be the case. Save AZ for us old buggers (the really old ones have actually had their second now) and use the other stocks on the youngsters. Can't see it being an issue.

As I say if they're going under 40, I'm right on the boundary so there's not a queue of people waiting for their first dose of AZ that'll have it cancelled. I couldn't even book one 10 days ago.

My wife’s 35 and will be getting her 2nd shot tomorrow. I presume it has to be the same as her 1st one so she’ll be getting AZ.

No further issues.

I hereby claim my title as the king of School of Hard Knocks. On TWF anyway.
