Coronavirus

Well I have read through the 32 page winter plan and it is a lot of waffle to basically say “everything like masks is voluntary everywhere, unless we mandate it and bring in vaccine passports on a week notice if it goes down the shitter. Oh and we reserve the right to go further if things get really really shit.”

I should add that the photo of Javid delivering the plan in a packed Commons with what appeared to be two Government MPs wearing a mask out of over 300 really pushed the please wear your mask message.
45 maskless ministers and aides in the cabinet office at cabinet today did that too.

Leicestershire has 3 of the top 5 or 5 of the countries top 10 areas in terms of Covid cases. Leicestershire schools went back for the Autumn term a week earlier than the rest of the country so the chances are that higher cases will spread to other areas in the next week or two. The good news is that to date, it isn't leading to a rise in deaths/hospitalisations as the demographic of the rise in cases is in school age children and their parents.

Telford & Wrekin numbers are over 50% higher than the average, our figures always seem to go up quicker and sooner than surrounding areas and take longer to come down

My cousin's wife in Italy lost her sister to it last month, she was unvaxed as she was due to have an operation but also passed it on to her husband and her elderly mother, the mother died a few days later

Yesterday there was another anti-lockdown protest in Melbourne, and another day where the place that I live has now degenerated into a police state.

I watched as a line of police rushed up to a woman who seemed well into her 70s and had an Australian flag tied around her neck as she calmly stood in a street.

But, a burly police officer, towering over her, gave her a huge shove. She fell backwards, hitting her head on the road. As she lay stunned and helpless, two police leaned over and sprayed her full in the face with pepper spray, and walked off - there are videos depicting this.

And I wonder why these cunts get called pigs !

Im not disputing what you're saying but this doesn't look like roving mobs of burly police taking out grannies, draped in flags ??

Sickening and disgusting, if anyone other than the police did that they'd be rightly locked up.

There's no doubt there's an element of those looking to pick a fight with the police but tensions here are getting very tense.

Also, this coming Thursday Melbourne passes Buenos Aires as the most locked down city in the world at 235 days and still counting.

Our Premier announced a roadmap to exit lockdown where we have to hit 80% double vexed, which looks like being the end of November based on the current trajectories.

That's over 300 fucking days in hard lockdown or as good as 10 months (out of the last 19) !

Have you seen the film Detroit? Different era, different circumstances but Detroit police murdered 3 young black men and were acquitted.

Double jabbed travellers allowed into the US from November. No announcement yet on what this means for kids

As I’ve been saying for a while, tensions in Melbourne are escalating, and now we are seeing some serious protests and anger, resulting in widespread chaos in the CBD.

The construction industry is now fully closed for 2 weeks, across the entire state, and the union members have said they intend to protest every day (well they have nothing else to do).

Customer comes in this morning, not seen her for a few weeks so we talk for 5 minutes. Then I ask her why she is not at work today (she works for a doctor).
"Because I have covid."
No mask. Talking face to face, and she has covid.
"It's alright, I already had it once and I'm vaccinated."
NO IT IS NOT ALRIGHT.
