January 2022 Transfer Thread

Wouldn’t be signing Hwang in January, what’s the point. You’ve got him on loan for the season to make a proper assessment.

If he didn’t score or assist for the rest of the season then it wouldn’t be good business. Let’s see how he goes

Dunno, that's what they said. I had a look on the Uefa site about FFP rulings, it does look like it covers this season too.

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC

  • The settlement agreement covers the sporting seasons 2020/21 and 2021/22.
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers FC undertakes to report a maximum break-even deficit of €30 million in the financial year ending in 2020 and to finally reach, in the 2021/22 season, an aggregate break-even result for the financial years ending in 2019, 2020 and 2021 within the acceptable deviation.
*Edited*

We've posted profits the last two years and will again this year.

It would also be challenged by the Covid changes UEFA and FIFA laid out.

The club are even on record as saying FFP is not an issue.

I'm in agreement with Sycophantia.

Please refrain from the abusive comments. This place is a terrific source of Wolves information and has interesting discussions in other areas of sports / general matters too. It appears that a few admins/moderators are refraining from posting on here for whatever reason so please lets not spoil a good thing. I'd hate to think that those who fund this forum for free and without adverts will pull the plug because we can't behave.

Funnily enough i noticed that the other day. Of the 7 staff members, there's only really 2 that are active on the main board your good self being one of them

Personally I think the forum is poorer place with the likes of Kenny, Langers etc not posting....I completely understand why though.

With very few exceptions it's always sad when people choose not post any longer, especially when they are the ones who helped to set the forum up, but lives move on, preferences and priorities change. The forum does have a different vibe, not saying that's wrong, just different.

If you’re going to take every bad performance as a kick in the bollocks you might want to borrow Alice Cooper’s jockstrap.
You totally missed my point. No matter.

Kennys been away putting the finishing touches to his Christmas single

The more I see, the more the notion of just getting a CM and a CH makes me think that is papering over the cracks.

We need a fundamental re-think of how we get to be more dangerous - too many neat footballers who are more pretty than effective.

I would be happy to not spend in January with a view to ripping things up in the summer and starting again.

I’d rather bring in a couple of players so we can go for evolution over revolution.

I think a CH and CM (if recruited properly) allows us to go to a back four which gives us less reliance on our wing backs, obviously, and gives us more options in front of the ball to be able to break down teams better. Ideally we would have done that yesterday with 30 left but understand why Bruno didn’t
