Get in. Jinx reversed!

Off you go.

Brighton were as bad as I've seen from a side at this level.

Managed to watch patches in the pub, but looked like a well earned resilient victory. As per most of our wins.

Beaut of a pass from Neves for the goal.

Awful first half, Saiss volley aside. Second half much better and really should have been more comfortable than it was. Saying that Brighton never looked likely to score from 60 minutes onwards.

Podence, Saiss, Kilman & Coady all excellent tonight. Traore did well. Marcal did well (and is a knob, but we need a couple of them). Sa made a good save or two. Neves did well. Moutinho did well.

In fact, considering the first half was largely appalling, they all did quite well tonight.

Exactly. Not one for the neutral but it’s three points at their place for the first time since forever. Defensive masterclass again. Should have scored at least one more. I wonder what our xg was?

Terrible 1st half in which we scored. Better 2nd half in which we didn't. Deserved 3 points. Defence was superb again. Hard to disagree with Saiss as MOTM, he scored one, hit the post with another and defended like a Spartan.

Pretty much this. First half was a turgid watch, but no one was really having an absolute mare.

Should’ve put game to bed early 2nd half. Brighton never really threatened, few daft free kicks at the end but their set pieces we awful.

Hoping Pod stays fit and has a run of games. He seemed to link quite well with Adama (who’s decision making seemed better tonight) at start of 2nd half.

They only had the 1 ‘real’ chance which the lad shanks over. Nice for those breaks to go our way for a change

Both teams were appalling first half (almost as if both teams were missing loads of their best players). Sublime pass and good finish right at the end.
Second half thought we were much better, I thought the front 3 linked up well, even Trincao. Traore played pretty well imo, looked to run at the right time and pass when required, Podence lively. A bit more luck and we win more comfortably.

Much needed win just puts us in a nicer position going into Xmas period.

Great result, especially as we were strikerless. Semedo, considering i`m not his biggest fan, and Marcal, when he wasn`t horizontal, played well. Sa did his job first half to keep us in front and credit to Saiss and Neves for the goal. 3 precious points.

From played three lost three we have 24 from 14 games. I really can’t complain about that haul from any non big six team over any run of 14 games tbf. Not that there are not areas to improve but we all know that

We should be winning that comfortably with the chances we created second half. First 30 minutes were forgettable but we gained more possession and territory from then on. BHA look depleted and shot of all confidence.
As I’ve said on previous threads this could be our last game for a while.

Lage did seem to be going bananas in the first half so maybe he's still trying to change the way we play. I'm hoping the first half wasn't by design.

An important and very welcome 3 points, given the games coming up. It seems that Adama has been taking 'looking up' lessons, which was good to see. Perhaps he'll enrol on the 'anticipation' course next. One of his better games for all that, and unlucky not to have an assist to his name. I was convinced those missed chances were going to haunt us (and they probably would have if Maupay had been playing). Some good performances almost all round tonight, though Trincao was a disappointment for me.

Unbelievable that we have actually beaten Brighton away! They have been a bogey side in many ways over the years.
