Welcome to Wolves, Chiquinho!

Hey, new here but an accidental Portuguese Wolves fan since the Championship Manager 93 season with that awesome Steve Bull, Tony Daley and Steve Froggatt team.

I'll tell you that Chiquinho is a bit of a gamble. He is very young and Estoril was in second tier last year.

This year Estoril is playing in the first tier after promotion and they are in the top half of the table and they are playing good football being Chiquinho one of the stand outs.

He is a strong and quick player with good technique, but sometimes he still messes up in the decisions.

He reminds me a lot of Raphinha, the Leeds one, when he started playing here in Portugal. The talent is there, but he still needs to improve on the decision making like Raphinha did.

If he adapts and grows as expected, you've got a top player in 2/3 years. Besides that, I wouldn't have high hopes for him this year.

We've got Pedro Neto coming back from injury soon, Daniel Podence is looking really good this season and we've still got Trincão, Hwang & Adama (for now) so Chiquinho should have the time to settle in before he gets thrown into the deep end.

For €3M I think he's a gamble worth taking. Bruno will work his magic on him.

Keeping Chiquinho around for the rest of the season to learn and integrate with the group makes sense. We’ll likely not have Traore or either Trincao or Hwang next season so he can be one of 4 the wide options for us.

Francisco Jorge Tavares Oliveira, known as Chiquinho

He looks and sounds positively starstruck. That will usually only go one of two ways: really really well, or really really poorly.

Could also just be that he's picking up English on the fly, too.
I don't know if it's the angle of the camera, but his feet look huge.
