Brentford 1-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

lmao-crying-laughing.gif

The shots on target are quite telling, 1 to Brentford, 2 to us. Ground it out but in a fashion that was fairly enjoyable (eventually) in my view
Not sure about enjoyable, apart from the goals it was a pretty shit match. But it was extremely satisfying...

What a January we've had. 4 games and 4 wins with 9 goals scored and only 2 conceded.

That also makes 4 wins and a draw from 5 league games. Champions League form that is!

Think Bruno picked the correct side. If you look at Brentford's recent results and how they played at Molineux then keeping it tight, denying them space in the middle of the park and turning it on after half time is the way to go. Wouldn't say that exactly went to plan, but the principle was correct.

Didn't think our 3 none first 11 players covered themselves in glory, but I guess that's to be expected. 2 very unWolves goals which is great to see

The Brentford story should be one you can get behind, sell their best player every season to a bigger club, Maupay, Watkins, Hogan, Benrahma and through negative net spend, fantastic scouting and good coaching they make it to the PL. The prick of a manager makes that impossible though. Might be a struggle this year, but I hope they fuck off ASAP

Champions League? You're having a laugh!

Yes! What is it about bottom-feeder teams in stripes with German managers? First Huddersfield, now this lot. The red for Frank was the cherry on the cake. Everyone got what they deserved today.

Since losing the opening three games, we’ve won 10 games from 18. 34 points.

We’ve got a serious chance of finishing top 6 if we can keep it up. Especially with Neto coming back soon. Just need that AM adding to the mix for days like today.

As has been mentioned there's a real gap starting to open up behind us.

Now granted, we have a very tough run coming up, so it could all change in a hurry, but I think it's hard to argue we're not continuing to improve as the season goes on. Who knows...?

Fair, I enjoyed it but I have missed a few of our games recently so felt more overdue personally!

Adama's celebration didn't look to me like a guy who knows he's leaving.
Agree, don't think it's as nailed on as the media would like us to believe. I can believe we're not keen to meet his contract demands though, but there might still be middle ground there in the summer

It didn't, however his body language when Neves scored was quite flat, only noticed it on one replay though. Would need to see it again.
He's usually like that tbf. I remember the 3rd Raul scored away to Southampton the other year after Traore had that great run and pullback, everyone was going mad and he just stood there like 'yep, that happened'
