I have to question his tactical awareness after last night. Not because we lost by that scoreline, but that he didn`t change anything tactically at half time when there were glaring issues. He must have something surely? How did he achieve that success at Benfica? Not sure I would trust him with a transfer budget either.

How did he achieve that success at Benfica?
One of the best young players in the world was there for him to use, and Portuguese football is shit.

Then he oversaw their worst run in their entire history.

As I posted the other week, we can't really go down the Mendes/Gestifute road unless we pull off a real coup with Sergio Conceicao (and is he really going to leave Porto for us after he just won the league). The cupboard is bare.

Didn't Conceicao already turn us down before Lage signed on anyway? Stranger things have happened though, and he may fancy a crack at the English game

You do seem to brush over the fact that he won something like 36 out of 38 games mate. Like the last 10 or so games was *everything* and the first forty don't count.
Apparently Nuno's first three seasons don't count either, so...

I'm not even sure Bruno is the guy to take us forward, and i've been an advocate for him. Problem is the manager going and half the players to replace. Does anyone think Fosun are really going to outlay the cash for that?
If they are fair play, but it's a massive risk getting rid of so many players AND the manager/staff as well as the massive cost..
But like i said even my resolve with Bruno is wavering a bit.

The thing is, keeping a manager because you can't really afford to sack him is the preserve of mid-table Championship clubs and below. It should never come to that for a Premier League club, especially one that habitually makes profits.

He has two years left on his deal (I presume all the coaching staff do too, we have far fewer backroom staff now than Nuno did), it would cost us a hell of a lot more if we kept him and he relegated us, which is eminently possible when you look at the last third of the season and the quality of his football.

What i said was manager and the stack of players we need. Even if Bruno gets the boot we need a lot of players replaced. Are fosun with their net spend of thruppence hal'penny going to do both? I doubt it..

Sell Neves, Raul, Jonny, Boly and don't renew Saiss or Moutinho and you have £100m and a lot of room in wages to play with even if Fosun don't put further investment into the club.

You have to sell them first. That isn't a given...

Neves we would be asking well-heeled suitors to form an orderly queue. Raul would also get plenty of interest, and Jonny would too now he has shown he appears to be over the injury.

Some key questions.
Has Bruno improved results? Compared to last season yes but not by much.
Has he improved any of the playing squad? No, Kilman has come along but it was Nuno who introduced him to the first team.
Is he getting the most out of the current playing squad? Hell no
Do we have an identity? No
Does he have good in game management? No, 14 defeats from 16 when falling behind.
Clueless tactics when leading v Arsenal and Leeds.
Are we at least pleasing on the eye? No other than about 6-7 games it’s been hard to watch.
Has his transfer business been good? Sa yes Chiquina possibly the rest no. Yes he’s not been backed well but who sanctioned Hwang signing? Who sanctioned Traore going out on loan? Who sanctioned MGW going out on loan leaving us with 3 senior CM.
Seems harsh being so critical when we’ll come top half at least.
But it’s nieve to use just that as a yard stick, the last 2 home games we’ve looked a disorganised mess out of possession and predictable in possession.
Form since Spurs away is awful, form isn’t a on and on switch which some think it is.

And you'd have to replace them! I don't trust our boys to get near to replacing them.

I'd keep Neves, Raul, Jonny and Moutinho.

If we can find suitors/release Marcal, Hwang (ha!), Saiss, Boly, Donk, Ruddy then happy days.
