Liverpool 3-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

At this point though Hwang had produced so much absolute utter shite that he became fair game for any criticism. He may not to be blame for that miss, but he earned the blame for his pub footballer display prior and after.

Please Fosun get the absolute waste of skin out of Wolves.
Ey? Don’t think anyone is disputing him being a good footballer. Doesn’t change the fact that missed chance wasn’t on him

Can’t stand hwang. But it was a poor ball by Raul. Can’t blame hwang. Can blame him for the chase and slide, mind. Hideous
That's fair, Raul could have played a better ball in. I did think Hwang could have tried more but maybe that's unfair

Worse kept secret that Ruben is leaving, in fact it’s at a point if he didn’t want to leave I’d start to question his own ambition. It’s sad as he’s been a pleasure to watch but ultimately inevitably.

Just watched the Judah video. A guy who is more die hard than I am as he was there said I'd have taken 10th before the start of the season and if the results across the season were the other way we'd be happy. Not sure where to go with that tbf. Some fans seem to sleepwalking into what next season will be without a major correction
Wouldn't happen the other way round would it. Because if Bruno Lage, pretty much a nobody, got 11 points from his first 14 games and 0 wins from 7 he'd have been sacked.

A one minute sub appearance for a player we're not keeping, Lage does such weird things.

We actually played OK for the most part, very last ditch with the defending but that has to be the way against these. Wasted loads of good opportunities. Hwang with a contender for worst sub appearance ever.

Today is immaterial really, we know we need a lot of work in the summer and I don't know many clubs where the manager would preside over our second half of the season and then be given an opportunity to rebuild. But I suspect he will get that chance. He absolutely shouldn't.

Enjoyed watching Neves one last time and hopefully it's not also Moutinho's final game in a gold shirt.

How we don't get a penalty on Toti I don't know - no attempt to play the ball, not part of the standard jostling that gets let go off a set piece - but I expect no different from our terrible officials.

Go and surprise me please, Wolves.

If we did have 11 points from 14 games on 1 December we'd have been at absolute best hovering just above the bottom three and only about four points clear of rock bottom depending where the theoretical points went instead (we were actually 8th on 21 points without playing particularly well bar a couple of games).

So no we wouldn't have been happy the other way round, we'd have been deep in a relegation battle, and in that situation I have zero faith that Lage would have rescued us.

It’s mute point because it’s totally hypothetical scenario. We’ve tailed off in an appalling fashion and looked incapable of winning against any side.
There’s a genuine belief amongst some of our fans that there will always be 3 teams worse than us.
Seriously? Pull your head out the sand and look at what awaits.
Very good chance both Moutinho and Neves won’t be in our midfield next season, leaves us with Donk and MGW in CM and trusting a manager who thinks Hwang is good enough for a regular PL appearance.

Call me a pant wetter but if Lage is left in charge to long next season then I’d say there’s a very good chance we’ll be starting the 23/24 season in the championship.

4/1 to go down next year. 7th favourites - presumably 8th after the play offs, so bookies have us finishing 12th at the moment

You might expect 5 teams to finish below us as it stands. 3 promoted plus maybe Leeds and Brentford. Possibly Villa too - they'll spend again but not convinced with Gerrard. That said, one of the new teams usually stays up.

Sky Bet has us at 11/2, shorter odds than Everton. Not quite the odds you’d expect for a team finishing top half. The bookies can see what most of us on here can see but many of the wider Wolves fan base can’t.

or you can cover your eyes and pretend it's not happening...your call.

Massive changes needed for that not to be the case. We've spent the last 1/3 of a season with relegation form
Listen you idiot. I've been a Wolves fan since 1969. I'm not one for burying my head in the sand.

Do you all remember this video doing the rounds when we signed Maierhoffer?

Well a very similar video could be made of Hwang after his "performance" today, it was a fucking disgrace, he has purely got on the pitch today for social media "likes/views", what other reason can there be for him to come on before Chiquinho, Fabio, Podence and Trincao??

I thought their equaliser could have been marginally offside but no VAR lines on the tele so no idea.
i thought the same tbh but it wasn't shown again, neither was our 'penalty'. once again the decisions side with the big boys !!
