IIRC you have twins too? My first two came as a pair so hoping this should be at least a little easier 😂

Moving out the very last of my stuff very soon from the old house. We're starting our own chapter together and at the risk of everyone recycling their lunch, we're very happy with it. Either that or she's a really good actress. Fuck knows why, ask her.

Sad because that's my grandparents' old house and we're letting it go, I've known that literally all my life. 41 years. They were there from the early 60s at least I think. Strange to think of someone else living there. And I did like Bilbrook/Codsall to live in as I did for 10 years, once I started caring for my Nan (I mean literally being a carer, not that I decided in 2012 "I didn't give a shit about Nan before, but I do now"). I did get my Granda's retirement present the other day when we were doing a clear out, a signed Wolves book by all the squad around 1991. Mark Venus turned up to see him off on his final day too.

But all things come to an end, and I've got a new life now. Time to move on and I'm sure those who know me will assert that I look happy enough.

It's always strange when long term associations with a place end, but the memories of there and the people remain.

We have to keep moving forward as that's the way the world works & there will be good things to come

No twins (although I’m one) but our third was the easiest. He wanted to sleep, feed and everything.
He once took the eating thing a bit too far when a poonami struck on the way back from a day out. Dad he’s eating it isn’t what you want to hear when looking for a convenient place to stop the car!

Happy and proud...

Yesterday my Cadet Squadron took part in the Central & East Yorkshire Wing Athletics competition. We took a team of 21 Cadets and returned with a total of 28 medals. The result of our efforts was that we had the best Relay Squads, we won the Junior Mens and Junior Womens competition. The efforts of all of our Cadets resulted in 2337 Squadron winning the overall competition and becoming Wing Champions. This was against 32 other Squadrons

Hybrid power is back!

Will take a nice big chunk out of my tax contribution and hopefully a sizeable dent in the fuel bill too, especially if they get round to installing chargers at work.
 
My uncle has had a truly terrible couple of years with very extended stays in hospital and 6 months with no immune system - he's come through it all with a smile on his face and is back racewalking. He's just been picked to take part in the Queen's baton relay for the commonwealth games. A total inspiration for all.

Shame he's a Carlisle fan mind

Terminal 3 still in the dark ages then.

No issues getting through but (probably should put this on the annoy thread) there is always 1 person that gets to security and seems shocked they have put things in trays and take 10 mins to sort their shit out.

That was T2, and they did say it was a trial.. no idea why a trial since they’ve been using it in Amsterdam for years.
 
was in my email trying to find an old message, and whilst that happened an email popped in with einaudi announcing 3 nights at the royal albert hall in october, close to my birthday.
never been to the albert hall. tickets a little on the pricey side, but having done no gigs for 2 years thought we'd go for it. mrs jelly has always wanted to see a show in the albert hall too.
only downside is we now need to book a hotel for that night, and train tickets. and a day off work! and pay for everything...

Pft, just spend the money (if you've got it) and enjoy the event, life's too short to worry about whether things you like are value for money.

Wow, Einaudi at the RAH, that’s a match made in heaven!

I’d imagine it will magnificent and quite emotional at times. Sometimes you deserve to go all-out and treat yourselves. Building memories and all that. Well done sir, enjoy.

Just go for it Warren - we come into this world with nothing and will leave it in the same way. You may as well have pleasure from what you have in the interim. Most of us will still be leaving something unspent which gets passed on anyway.

(ps I have no idea what an einaudi is - assume it's musical if it's at the RAH, but then my music period is late 1960's & 1970's. Whilst I like some of the stuff after probably couldn't answer quiz questions on it)
