I think Doyle is a decent enough player and I don't think having a different style of player to Gomes and Lemina for certain situations is a bad thing. He's definitely not the finished article but at 22 I'm sure he can be improved and get better naturally with experience. Under 5m is good value...
We were pretty good first half, rubbish 2nd. Doherty was getting rinsed all afternoon and should have come off way earlier, on the goal they had disallowed their player got past him with no resistance whatsoever and got the cross in then for the penalty I'm not sure what he's trying to do but...
Fair result. Didn't think it was awful considering what was available in an attacking sense. The RAN chance was the one again, straight at the keeper, could have rolled it across and Chiwome would have had a tap in.
It's more that they're nowhere near ready for this level and might not ever be. It's a shit state of affairs that they have to play but as we were safe in January the club just tossed it off which is a shame as there isn't much between the teams in that pack we are in
I couldn't see him leaving for a role on the coaching team and as good a job he's done here, he's made enough mistakes to show he's not ready for a head coaching role of that magnitude
Adams isn't great at all. I think the fact that people are now more accepting of it just shows that people have resigned themselves to the way the club are going to do business now and he is going to come at no transfer cost, plus the recent situation of Fraser being in the 11 means people are...
If you're picking players because they've got loads of caps and they're good to have in the camp we could pluck any manner of players out of retirement and pick them as a body. Henderson shouldn't be in on footballing merit so he shouldn't go.
Dendoncker was rubbish in his last season here. He could do a job in certain situations but he's not a good footballer and I wouldn't want him back at all. He would be our 4th best CM at best and he doesn't improve us at the back.
The owners and that manager caused this. Owners for not getting the players we needed and the manager for risking players in the biggest nothing game of the season and nobody give me "they can get injured in training" it's nothing like the same intensity and you know it. Defensively poor but we...
Cousins is a very good QB despite the derision he gets but I'm glad the Vikings didn't go near those numbers for a 36 year old coming off that injury. The problem is there's no good free agents, ideal scenario would be drafting and building around a rookie but they're probably going to have to...
Yeah I don't think there's much he can do, as there are points all the way through that run where there's another Newcastle player in lots of space so as soon as he goes to try and engage Gordon he'd have just slipped the ball past him.
There's never a good time to do the stand, if you're in the Premier League you don't really want to lose that capacity but if you go down the argument turns to the capacity not being required. Either way something will need doing with the stand soon as it's more than a bit shit, even if there's...
