Cameron Steel is a bit of a surprise this season so far - leading wicket taker in Div 1 now with 20 @ 12.15 as it stands.

I like that they’re using a longer summer break as another reason behind the changes yet teams like Spurs are going to Australia for an end of season tour 😄

Yeah I tend to agree that they’re a bit overblown in general and replays between teams in the same league are a complete waste of time too. It’s a shame but as DW says, you can now draw a big game at home and win on penalties and have a chance of a big away day in the next round

No replays will upset a lot of football league clubs

I’ve seen chelsea fans say his defensive work/tracking back is pretty poor at this stage so that’s something that you have to factor in too especially in tougher games

It is but I’m still more annoyed by teams bottling it when they get the chance to beat them to it than I am at city for it falling into their lap

I get it but this season and last it’s because other teams have bottled it/lost it at the end. I still think it’s more pep than City, I guess we’ll find out if he ever leaves

Not impossible I know but really does help the bowlers a lot. Completely agree though that it should be a universal design - I’m not sure how you stop that becoming a complete monopoly for one company though

I get that the Dukes ball in early season over here can be a bit too weighted in favour of the bowlers - I don’t think it’s a good thing when big standard 70mph seamers are taking five wicket hauls for example. But the kookaburra seems too far the other way. Only slight positive is the spinners...

Offsides are pretty much cut and dry and apart from human error they’re correct even if it’s a matter of mm. If this system gets the same result more quickly then I’m all for it
