The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

I agree that it’s not sustainable to continually lose money. There aren’t many years in the last twenty years that Wolves have made a profit. Many posters seem to expect Fosun to invest in the club every window. I’m sure that after buying Wolves, Fosun expected to put money into the club so...

Perhaps they can’t even do that.

How many players are you allowed to borrow from a PL club?

Even that doesn’t explain rejecting 30m for Kilman.

The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

Isn’t the issue about transfer money that Fosun are not able to invest any more money into the club. That was the gist of the postings by The Accountant. He said that their lenders would not allow them invest in companies that would not provide a return. Doesn’t the FFP limit of 105m loss over...

The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

The operating profit was up 10%, the actual profit was down 40%. This is from Yahoo Finance: "However, due to the decrease in investment gains from the disposal of financial investments, the Group's profit attributable to owners of the parent during the Reporting Period was RMB1.36 billion."...

Are the Fosun years coming to an end?

Profit seems to be around 40% down at RMB 1.35 billion.

Haven't we already signed two players in similar circumstances this summer?

Wasn't the third goal against Rennes the result of Sa hoofing it up to Sasa?

Good job they built that new stand, shouldn't need to fish so many balls out of the Thames.

The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

You never know. Daniel Levy has funds. Mendes has prior form for getting money out of Spurs but no longer has an insider to help out. It also would be questionable as to how much of any fee we'd get to keep.

    There goes Julen!

You seem to have a far, far higher opinion of the "clubs client journalists" than most on here.

    There goes Julen!

The BBC has reported that the meeting at Compton has finished "amicably' and expect O'Neil to be appointed. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66437744

    There goes Julen!

I can't believe that Lopetegui will be negotiating his own severance package, surely it would be a job for Mendes.

    There goes Julen!

No doubt Shi just does what he is told. If he has been told to spend no money, he’ll spend no money. If he’s replaced, it will no doubt be by someone who will do as his told without question.

    Pre-Season 2023/24

It seems as though Giles put in a number of good crosses, presumably from the left. Could somebody who saw the game give an opinion as to whether it was good play by Luton or not so good defending by Wolves.
