2022/23 Fixtures

No real terrible runs in there which is nice.
Apart from our current run of 3 wins in 14 games...

Doesn't matter who we play as it stands, we got 1 goal and 1 point (didn't deserve it either) from games against Burnley and Norwich at the back end of the season.

If we lose the first three again then I can see him getting sacked.

Glad you've got your crystal ball with you. No need for me to bother watching now.

I didn't say we will lose them.

But if nothing changes we probably will, we were losing to everyone before, why would it be any different just because we've ticked over to a new season?

You could have easily said at the halfway point of last season, why would our overall form be any different in the second half? There's always reasons for everything.

Maybe a break, some new players, and a fresh start again will mean we perform better again. Who knows? Nobody. We might do better, we might even do worse. But just because we had a bad run doesn't mean it's 100% guaranteed to continue.

Shall see you there then

I'll be in town before the gig..it will be odd not to leave the pub at 2.30 and go to the game though
Will probably skip the game and stay in the pub til the racing starts

Not officially said yet I don't think. Will be keeping an eye. Think theres 8-10 of us coming for the racing/gig so don't think Mrs Trips will allow me to slope off to the game 😅

Get a huge round in at 2.40....pop to the loo...reappear at 5pm. Won't notice a thing

If it were my wife I reckon I could probably get away with that :)

The last time we played Leeds (a) on the first game of the season we were relegated that season.
On a happier note for such things, the last time Villa played Bournemouth (a) on the first game of the season they were also relegated.

Tickets available for £19 now. I hope you didn't pay full price.

For the madness gig? Really? Unusual! Mrs jelly will be interested... though she hates the racecourse.
