Signed and shared.

The club shared it on FB earlier and signed it. I doubt it will do much good but we live in hope

Signed it yesterday, more the merrier

Have signed it - whether I, as somewhat more vulnerable due to age, decide to take up the choice when allowed will be a personal decision, but if 3,500 can go to a concert then 8 to 10000 in a 32000 seat stadium should be possible.

Aye, signed. Over 160,000 signed now

It's not just the stadium though is it. Trains in, pubs, etc, and then who you'll come on touch with thereafter (irrespective of your own risk apatite). The latest position of the virus seems to be going in the opposite direction to this petition. I get the frustration, but the petition seems odd to me

No it's not - pubs are still open even in some areas of local lockdown and not everyone will travel on public transport.

It would be up to each individual to make sensible choices, though I would accept that not all do.

For me it would be a drive up (on my own) & would take a view on the pub situation (have been in ones down here though it's a very different area to Wolverhampton on a matchday). Whether I would go would depend on the conditions set & my view of the risk level, but given that some areas (cinemas etc) are operating not sure that a complete ban on any fans in is reasonable.

Whether I would want to be in a crowd at only 25% capacity is a different issue.

Its not odd. A lot of clubs will collapse without income very soon. The Prem League teams will be fine but start going down the Divisions and things are not so cosy. A lot of people, not just footballers, will be out of work. So of course they are wanting fans back in, safely of course, so they can start earning again

Most clubs down there get poor attendances anyway. Look at Walsall, average attendance is less than half the capacity. Isn’t going to be hard to socially distance at these places and keep the clubs going.

Even more so even further down where we are probably talking a couple of hundred on a grass bank.

The economic effect of this virus is going to be (/already is) worse than the physical effect. You’ve either got to ban all of pubs, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, gyms, football stadiums or allow them all

The way the figures are going I can see a second full lockdown being rather more likely than fans in stadia. Saddening stuff.

I hope the petition does restart the discussion as let’s face it like Punts said people are going to lose jobs if something isn’t done now.

Weird, I wonder why the figures are going that way

pubs are still open

but if 3,500 can go to a concert

mysteries abound

To get some live football would go to Woking if I went up to see my son (who lives a mile away from the ground), but no one allowed in above tier 7 in the pyramid.

TBH their average gate is approx 1500 in a 6500 capacity stadium so social distancing wasn't an issue even before coronavirus was invented
