Arsenal 1-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

What I don't get is this. I've played hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of games at semi-pro and amateur level.

Not once have I ever had my hand actually IN someone else's mouth, or seen someone else do it. I've seen a few smacks in the mouth but that's a bit different.

That looks so bizarre to me, the fuck is he doing?
It is bizarre, couldn't quite believe what I was seeing when I first saw the picture.

Some doing to be simultaneously out of control but still have the deft touch you finger someone's mouth at the same time.

Or you are so out of control you have no idea where any part of your body is actually going.

Bellerin their second highest player up the pitch on average and their two centre midfielders looking more like sweeper and right back?

The timescales seem a bit weird on those maps though and not even the same for both sides, where are they from?

Some random guy on twitter posted them - it’s the first half (finished on 55 mins) ours is for after Raul went off.

It highlights how central to everything Joao is too.

I'd expect the rest of the match to look different though

Just watched the game again on match of the day - Traores cross for Neto’s goal was gorgeous.

good run too, tierney couldn’t live with him, but the cross was excellent.

He started the move for the 2nd too. Might not have been the best player on the pitch but without him it would have been a very different result.

Thought it was Traore's best game of the season by far, played well. Wonder if it just helps all of them when there's 4 attackers, players don't feel they have to create something out of nothing on their own
If you look at some of the early attacks there are often 4 in and around the box which is more than when we play 3-4-3 and had Raul on his tod in the mixer.

also makes doubling up on traore risky, allowing space for 3 others to take advantage.
we went through marcal to neto on the left a lot v arsenal.

Breakout game for Neto. I think our opponents will pay him much more attention from now on.
Marcal cemented his place in the team - RAN may not play again until Palace in the cup.
Four attacking players together (and compact) made a huge difference.
Silva improving all the time. I got the feeling that on occasions he showed too much deference to the other players (understandably). The centre forward needs the confidence to demand the ball and then just f**king hit it. A goal will help him.

Would be very surprised if Marcal plays both the Spurs and United game over christmas - too little rest time. RAN will get his chance again of course and like you say has the cup game too.

Agree, thought Marcal was exemplary which has caused some confliction as I'm a big fan of Jonny
