Arsenal (A) 28/12/2021 12.30pm Build Up & Match Thread

This is what they're doing in the NFL now, eventually they'll have to take a similar decision as the money-makers involved will withdraw the finance when the games they're paying for to show on tv aren't being played.

I think they are still testing in the NFL or at least were recently. I read in the athletic the doctors were saying there wasn't any asymptomatic transmission though.

As Jack said that changed this time last week for vaccinated players when testing wasn't giving the desired result. A forfeited game in the NFL means that neither side gets paid though, so will be avoided at almost all costs as will moving games outside of the same week

I am in favour of the games being played, for me the season would have benefited from a break, they can't do that because of next year's winter world cup complicating things, and they can't and won't move that as they have already spent all the bride money to put it there I presume.

This would have been a good chance for some youngsters, I get the dilution of quality etc, but they didn't care about that for Liverpool when they were made to play that league Cup game after there first team squad had left for the world championships.

The NBA has been hilariously lopsided due to covid protocols, the Raptors have handed out a beatdown to far superior teams and been on the end of a couple of almighty slapping themselves. But they play 82 games so rescheduling is pretty tough

We really should have just muddled through with a couple of U23s. And Ruddy up front for shits and giggles.
