Poor.

I don’t think we were tired, but I’m not sure what the reason is for such a passive attitude.

Lucky to get 7th playing like that, Champions league is definitely unachievable.

Well that was shit. Started with the wrong formation today and never really threatened other than for 10 mins after he switched it. We've been quite sloppy in possession today as well. Arsenal pressed us well all game to be fair.

I'd have taken 9 points from 12 at the restart though.

I don't mind losing, but losing like that? woof. really poor all around.

nuno to give em what's what and move on to the next.

Everyone was below par, literally everyone, and a couple of the performances were worse than a bogey.

I don't think this will be indicative of anything long term, and Arsenal aren't a bad side, but of course it's frustrating to create almost nothing for the entirety.

As much fun as it was to dream, we aren’t going to be finishing in the top 4. 6th place is still on though.

Man for man we are a better team than Arsenal, they just seemed to want it more. Given it’s arsenal *that* is not good.

Can't use tiredness as an excuse when we had the week to prepare and Arsenal played on Wednesday. Arguably maybe squad depth hurt us here as we didn't have substantial options to change it but we know this is how it is.

I can't remember Neves doing too much wrong, and Traore was generally bright...maybe could've done better with his 2nd chance but GK closed him down quickly tbf, a dink on the run at full pelt is difficult to get right. Pretty much everyone else was below par though. If Neto's on the pitch he needs to be taking corners because his are just better than Moutinho's.

After listening to Jamie Carragher for that long, I'm off to bleach my ears and brain.

6th probably 7th will be enough for Europa and I'll take that all day. This game is the perfect example of why we are not quite at the level to make Champions League yet and there is no shame in that.

Absolutely. UCL this season would have been ahead of schedule, IMO. We really need to hit on a second, quality center forward in the transfer market if we want to challenge the UCL spots seriously, I think.

Too many players below par. We can play against the likes of West Ham with players below par, but not top end teams.

Defenders were just poor collectively rather than individually.
Midfield did not dominate the game. Up front never really clicked until second half and then it was too late.

Not sure I get this. Because they're Arsenal players they're predisposed to not care?

5th's still a possibility although we'll need some help from elsewhere. And, obviously, a massive improvement.

Would be a shame to slip now, hopefully we can right things and get back into Europe.

Most frustrated I have been with a Wolves performance since Braga.

Not good enough today. Have to say I think Nuno got the tactics wrong with the 3-5-2. I can understand the logic as Dendoncker should have allowed us to attack set pieces better which Arsenal were vulnerable to. That advantage never manifested as our set pieces were rubbish. Never threatened and Martinez dealt with things easily. The poor set pieces isn't on the manager but the decision nullified Traore I thought, he didn't prosper that well in a more central role and as part of a two. Especially in the first half I really felt the space was there for Jota to stretch the defence and offer more going forwards - Dendoncker did not bring much.

Overall though we were just a bit crap, flat, whatever it was. Sloppy in possession, slow on the ball, didn't create enough and wasted what we did. Fell apart at the end and lucky to have not lost 0-3. Bad day.

9 from 12 is a very good return but this one is especially annoying as we should have had 6th wrapped up, and suddenly we are peering over our shoulders. Hopefully we can pick ourselves up for Wednsesday.

He had an off day. That doesn’t mean players turned up thinking today would be easy. As if Nuno would allow that to creep in at all

Football is so, so much about fine margins. If Traore scores his chance this kind of bullshit doesn’t even get mentioned

I’ll reply on here, I actually meant with reference to his response to the tweet about arsenal.

It’s not just him, but fans too - we were getting ahead of ourselves. There was a distinct lack of application today, across the whole team.

On a brighter note Martinez has blossomed into a really solid commanding keeper. A great back up for Arsenal. Thought he really controlled his box today with catches, calling and great off his line. Arsenal were better in all areas today and we just have to take it on the chin and make sure it doesnt happen again this week!

I’ll say it again, such fine margins. A deflected cross lands perfectly for their forward. Traore misses a sitter when we were really opening them up.

They had an off day, it’s a shame with such a good opportunity but you definitely aren’t going to see me question the integrity of this team. Absolutely laughable.

I thought we panicked a bit after that when we didn’t need to do. Think Traore to wing back (though understandable) disrupted our shape more than anticipated.

Big two games coming up to give us a chance for the final three.

Piss poor all round including team selection. We seem to set up to play for a 0-0 at half time and start the match second half. Gave a slightly freak goal away and started second half with more intensity but collectively the team were very poor (for once). Adama should really have scored and then we may have gone on and won the match. Nuno needs a long think before next match as too many seemed un-interested.

That’s even worse. He said we don’t fear anyone basically, nor should we. The way he said it seemed pretty typical of him as a person. I wouldn’t change him one bit
