Away tickets ballot question

Apologies for the slightly boring thread. I'm trying to decipher the rules of the away ballot.

As I understand it, when you apply with (up to 4) friends/family, each person in a combined application is given an individual entry.

But combined applications are either wholly successful or wholly unsuccessful.

What I don't understand is whether that means combined applications need all applicants to be successful (which would make combined applications less likely to win), or just one needs to be successful (which makes combined applications advantageous).

Does anyone know?

Was talking to my brother about the same last night and I am not sure but I *think* if you apply and group the tickets on one application then that application either succeeds or fails as a whole. I only get one email saying it's been unsuccessful anyway rather than one for each supporter number.

Whilst this ballot is a good idea there are realistically hardly any tickets up for grabs as most of the away allocations are 3k so there are 150 tickets up for grabs - within the thousands that apply, there will be people applying that are doing so because they don't know whether their current level of supporter points will be enough for them to get a ticket yet, so they apply anyway - if some of those people can get tickets regardless of the ballot, then it reduces that 150 ticket pool even more.

Basically if you apply 19 times and get to go to 1 game, then you've got very lucky. Especially considering there are grounds like Bournemouth and Brentford where the allocations are much smaller.

I think that would make sense, that each ticket application (of up to four people) equals one entry. But when entering for the Spurs game there was a statement that seemed to indicate that each supporter number in a combined application got an entry. Sadly it has now disappeared. We'll have to take another look when the ballot appears for the Bournemouth game.

Bournemouth and Brentford are excluded I believe
