Evening All,

I am not a Wolves fan myself (although being slowly dragged in) but my 8 year old son is in spite of the fact we live in South London.

I was hoping to take him to some games this year and was looking at buying tickets for some local away matches. I was looking at Spurs away, which I understand would be popular, but on the ticketing information on the website it looks like you can only buy tickets if you have a certain amount of points, which I presume you get from attending matches? I was just wondering if this was the norm for all away matches and will it be struggle to purchase for lots of away matches?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It’ll be pretty much impossible I think. Perhaps an early round league cup away game might be your only bet.

Train up to Wolverhampton isn’t that long..

I am afraid as a casual supporter you will only get tickets to away games via the executive package route from the home team. I did Spurs last season, their hospitality package was expensive but worth it.

Thanks so much for the quick replies. Much appreciated! Will get my thinking cap on but you could be right Tredman, train to Wolves isn't that far!

Their will be tons of resales on Twitter and Facebook for Palace

Baptism of fire.

Not that bad anyway. Biggest issue is getting there which isn’t an issue if you live in south London. Just don’t go for a piss and stay away from the back.

Yeah, I don't mind Palace so much once you're in. Well, now you can't smoke in the stand full of wood anyway.

Not what you're asking but maybe get a train to Wolves (as someone else said) make a full day, go to the museum first (think there's some interactive stuff for the 'kids') then watch the match. Think you should get home tickets this season without being a member.

I live in North East London and can only get tickets for away games if a season ticket holder kindly offers me their supporter number to buy tickets.

When they work, the trains to and from Wolverhampton from Euston are actually quick (1h40m ish) and easy (direct or one change at Brum) and you can get some good prices if you book in advance. Suggest you go for that option. Away ends are great, but it's not always the most welcoming atmosphere for a first time attendee and/or youngster. You'll be standing all game whether you like it or not, for example.

Before I moved up here I lived in the commuter belt and took the train up from Tring for every home game. One change at MK to get on the expresses and a piece of piss of a journey.

You will definitely get home tickets this season if it's run of the mill opposition. Folk on here often have spares. Stick around.
