Barnsley 1 - 3 Wolves: "And we didn't have to pay 15m for this one!" Verdict Thread

36 points wouldn't be enough, 4 points from every 2 games. That would only put us on 71. We need more like 4.5 points or 9 points from every 4 games, that would put us on 75 points and even then that may still not be enough.

In a continuation of a theme started by Quirk - equally as emotional as the Liverpool huddle....!

Bloody Edwards. He's shit but scoring. And now he'll be stuck here playing every game until the end of next season minimim. Great result, just hope we can get going like this next season!

Long may his form continue. I think he's proving himself a very valuable asset and is someone for the younger players to look up to.

Very much deserving of his testimonial year next season.

He is still going about it. Reckons it was a foul by price. Dickhead.
To be honest when Sky first showed it I wondered which player was fouling who. They both went in hard on each other.

Why would I change my opinion when I've already seen it?

Agree, I know its considered unfashionable to like the bloke but since Stephen Ward left there has to be a go to player to bitch about :) Even prior to last nights game there was the usual derision and aghast at him being picked, If only he'd been credited with a hat trick, we'll have exactly the same at the weekend .

The majority of criticism for Edwards pretty much since Jackett took over was based on him playing notionally at Number 10. In that role he offers a few goals and nuisance factor, but isn't going to effectively link play between midfield and attack nor create much himself. He more than merits a place in the position he currently plays in which also enables the manager to pick a player with some or all of the above attributes at Number 10, be that Mason, Weimann, Bright or Ronan.

That angle doesn't do it justice IMO, from where the away fans were it was horrific. Price went in hard but Mowatt was in full flight studs up, dangerous stuff. Barnsley got a free kick out of it to confuse matters.

The refereeing in general was pretty bad but I think he got that one right.

The challenge on Price was disgraceful, and it is just a shame he cannot receive a longer suspension. Three games for that kind of challenge is not enough.

Who is #6 for Barnsley?? I wanted Eddo to deck him when he stood over Price just after Mowatt's "tackle".

Good to see Ronan ready to step into the situation despite his size and youth, (whilst not something to encourage) shows his attitude, not going to be overawed by more experianced/bigger players

Alright thm...
Because new information comes to light?
Because of a new perspective?
Gathering additional or extra information?
Reviewing your own assumptions and preconceptions?

What, you saw that particular clip and still can't tell who is fouling who? You're entitled to your opinion but I find your statement incredible.

IMO Mowatt had no intention of playing the ball but targeted Price, and it was such a bad challenge I hope he gets a long ban.

No I said on first viewing I wasn't sure because of the angle. It's obviously a red I'm not disputing that.

And how would the suggestion of watching the same clip from the same angle make any difference?

Good luck with that one, it's Bear you're talking to here.

Could he get longer if it's classed as violent conduct. Particularly if the game had already stopped as the referee had blown the whistle for a free kick?
