Starting a new one for the post-season madness

Wildcard games went just about as I expected (bonus as a Cubs fan that the Mets bit the dust as we never beat them in a series)

Blue Jays v Rangers series has just started in Texas. Quiet stuff with the Jays smashing 5 runs in the third inning.

I love post season play. Actually I just love baseball.

They were unlucky against the Giants last night. Thor threw a great game but Bumgartner was just unplayable.

To be fair I'm pretty new to it anyway, based off going to a game in NYC last year and then watching it on BT. How come you're so into it Paddy?

When I was in the Dominican Republic in 1997 the place was Sammy Sosa MENTAL and I have loved it ever since. Plus I caught a spring training game once when I was in Florida. Texas Rangers v Yankees.

Blue Jays are demolishing the Rangers. 10-1 final last night and now 5-1 up in the fifth inning tonight. And both those games are home games for Texas.

An absolute spanking Paddy, good to watch too. I had the a Blue Jays to win it all at the start of the season but I think the Cubs will be too good.

Unfortunately as a Yankees fan it pains me to see Boston doing well.

Baseball? Of all the sports to gain traction across the pond...

Have a word! Baseball is a great day out to watch live but when watching from home there is no comparison.

Technically we invented it and the first settlers took it across. But then I love both Gridiron and Baseball as I lived in NJ for a little while. Couldn't get on with hockey at all and this was with the Nets at the top of their game.

Take a breath, I think you are bang on. Red Zone is my preferred Sunday afternoon/ evening viewing.

Good lord, I think the end must be upon me if we'll agree on this!

Not for me. I just find most gridiron games incredibly dull, but I love baseball. I would watch whomever was playing, although I prefer it if the Cubs are in action.

Anyway, Rangers trying to get back into it against the Blue Jays. 2 runs in the bottom of the eighth to make it 5-3. Probably too late though.

I tried watching NFL once....fair to say I would have been more impressed with a Hoddle Wolves v KJ Wolves (15/16 Season) match with Dean Saunders giving his views throughout.

Seen one Baseball game...fucking loved it. Will be trying to get to grips with the game more when the new season starts.

I REALLY must get over to Chicago one day and take in a game at Wrigley Field. I shudder to think how much I would spend in the Cubs shop though...

Never got into either when I lived in Canada, but could watch baseball over gridiron.

I got into Ice hockey from playing NHL 93 on the Mega Drive and became a Rangers fan due to Mark Messier being my goal scoring captain. Imagine my sheer delight when I moved to Vancouver and he was the Canucks captain. IMO hockey is the most skilful game out of the 3, quicker paced and more drama.

Interesting. I find NBA really dull as well, but when I was in Florida I caught the March Madness College Basketball and that was really entertaining.

It really is strange how American sports are so polarising. I really like the NBA too, this may oddly be because I won neatly $500 in a sweep on the Spurs and the magnificent Tim Duncan in 99, been a fan ever since.

True that.

Anyway - Blue Jays held on and a 2-0 lead should see them home against the Rangers in a 5 game series you would think.

Red Sox v Indians just started. I think I fancy Cleveland to just pinch the series but it will be a close one.

Basketball is dull as fook both live and on TV.

Went to a Grizzlies game and it's literally end to end but it doesn't seem to require much skill. I played games during my time over there and it just seems too easy"
