Beer

Latest Beer52 order was apparently Irish themed:

Eight Degrees - Bohemian Pilsner
Black's - Mosaic IPA
The White Hag - Atlantean NEIPA
O'Haras - White Haze IPA
Rascals Brewing Company - Happy Days Pale Ale
Bullhouse Brewing Co. - Road Trippin' Citra Pale
Galway Bay - Full Sail IPA
O Brother - Alone Together DDH Amarillo

Atlantean is good as is Galway Bay's Full Sail.

Beer52 *can* be a bit of a pain. They say you have to phone up, then they keep you on hold for ages then give you the guilt trip/extra offers to stay and almost make you justify leaving. There are also tales of it taking so long to cancel that you get charged for the next box before it's been done.

Having said that, last time I did it, I cancelled via email and it went through fine.

I cancelled by email. Painless.

And the track they play whilst you’re on hold is cringeworthy - very short with a terrible gag about the beer with mango etc being a “boozy fruit salad” followed by canned laughter again and again.

That said, when I chased the first box up a week after ordering, they said it must have got lost, so sent a second - they both arrived 2 days later - get in.

If anyone is looking for a low alcohol beer try Shipyard Low Tide. It's nice and hoppy and along with Punk AF streets ahead of others I've tried.

Anyone tried this? A mate just sent me a pic saying I should try it.

Had it when been down my mates in Cornwall. Just a standard lager.

Yeah I’ve had it. It’s pretty good, nothing special. Sell it at Aldi quite often.

Won this lot in a raffle yesterday, tenner for four tickets. Result.
