Beer

Aye, the mixed case actually looks pretty delicious this time around. Enjoy :)

I missed the Polish theme this time :(

Missed that yours was the light, enjoying the different dark beers at the moment. Some interesting stouts in the box.

The 3 Ravens Salted Caramel Shake looks very interesting. Might have to buy it direct if it's any good.
So do the upgrade beers tbh.

Cherry trifle imperial stout, bloody good but at 10% one is enough for me.

Pizza Beer. A 6.2% Ale with real pizza flavouring (pepperoni I think). The same brewery also makes a hugely popular pickle beer.

And, what, pray tell, does "beer" taste like?

Obvs...

No clue as I wasn't being serious but millions "love it"

Something not tainted by fruit, chocolate, etc
Chocolate notes from roasted malt has been a standard ingredient for centuries. As has aging lambic beer on fruit.

Even if we take just traditional beer styles, we have:

Lager
Bitter
IPA
Mild
Porter/stout
Lambic/Gueuze
Gose
Berlinerweisse
Wheat beer
Bock
Dunkel
Lambic
Kriek
Dubbel
Tripel
Quad

None of those taste the same, but they all taste like beer.

Nothing wrong with breweries pushing the boundaries to elevate flavours and create new and exciting beers.

Novelty creations such as the pepperoni pizza beer or whatever should be taken for what they are. A daft bit of fun. Take it or leave it.

I cancelled my beer52 subscription in January. They rang yesterday and have given me the next case for a tenner(delivered), reinstated my points but I can still cancel at any time.

I'm not much of a drinker but I've been tempted and bought some bottles of lager recently. I want to try different ones but have been a bit bewildered by the choice, even just in the supermarket. So I've quickly looked into some multi-country packs online.

Any recommendations for sites to look on? Beerhawk was the one I saw that did a World Lager 15 pack that looked interesting.

New beer arriving in Tesco soon looks lush. Omnipollo x Buxton - Lemon meringue cream pie sour IPA
