Bellend commentators

Kane, Grealish and Sterling have done far worse in recent times but these are players Durham champions on a regular basis but won’t dare criticise.

Is that right what they said on commentary last night? Adama is the only player in the division so far this season to be booked for simulation. But it wasn't even a dive.

Neto didn't dive - there was some contact though probably not enough for him to go down (that has happened often and still resulted in a penalty)

Took a number of views to decide that his foot wasn't stood on thus bringing him down

Right result in the end no penalty & no card

He just said: "Going to talk about 'a diver' scoring the winning goal"

Imagine him saying that about Kane, Sterling, Grealish, Salah, Mane, Rashford, Martial, Penandez? No, me neither

A Liverpool fan backing him, oh the irony

Durham wants a retrospective 2 game ban for Neto but when asked how he felt about Owen diving for England he said he was ok with that as he's an England fan!

Football fans suffer severe confirmation bias, especially when it comes to their own team. If im honest if a Chelsea player had gone down like Neto did last night I’d probably call him a cheat.
I’ll store this in the memory bank and ask Durham the question when the same scenario appears with one of his hyped players

I think as 'dives' go in the Premier League it was pretty tame

Yeah I'm concerned we're shortly gunna get a reputation for being a team of dirty divers when we 're probably the most un divey team.
first time I've seen Neto dive (if he did) since Nuno bollocked him for it.
have I mentioned I'm still seething about the Traore one? one of the most fouled players in the league and they're usually full blooded leg breaking fouls.
Grealish, Salah, Zaha and others are serial divers but it rarely gets mentioned once the game is over.

Doh, you've set me off again.
Durham was calling for red cards for diving...thats fine if its consistant but we all know about unconcious bias

Durham can just fuck off. He is a blowhard desperate for people to call in. Beneath our notice.

Durham is a known wum, starts his programmes of quite sensibly then drops a clickbait bomb to get the punters ringing in

Garth Crooks picked Joel Matip in his Team of the Week. He did this despite him seeming to think that he had some "scary moments" in the game against Spurs.

I can only think Big Joel was sat at home watching The Exorcist as he wasn't even in the squad for that match.

The other day 'Curbs' referring to Joelinton as Linton 🤔. Presumably he thinks Fulham's keeper's surname is Ola?

Not sure what channel I got last week for the Chelsea match but the two analysts at HT were Michael Owen and Eddie Howe.

Complete blandness overdose.

Commentators, summerisers, etc don't usually bother me much, don't pay a lot of attention to them, but Danny Murphy irritates me a lot for some reason

Could think of a hell of a lot worse than Murphy

Due to unforeseen circumstances I ended up watching the game on Bein, with the Al jazeera commentary, didn't understand a word but still found it less objectional than most English language commentators :)

You didn't expect that your wife would say "you are watching the Masked Singer and nothing else on this TV"?
