Bellend commentators

It's definitely wording you can't really use any more regardless of context. It's the same as with telling folk with mental health issues to "man up" and things like that.

There's definitely a culture of people taking offence at the slightest drop of the hat these days, but Souness showed a complete lack of awareness with his terminology when there's a woman sitting directly to his left.
 
I agree certain phrases or throw away comments whilst definitely used in good nature are outdated and frankly were never true. Doesn’t need castigating against for it maybe just a polite word from someone.

That's what I thought, Its a mans game as opposed to a boys game, haven't we all said a game has been men against boys ?
 
Absolutely. I don't think there was any gender message meant, just that he liked the game when it allowed more physicality. Men being allowed to be mean rather than being penalised for the slightest contact.

Digging him out for what? Let's face it Crooks was a decent player but is clueless regarding commenting on games and players. I'm amazed he still gets air/print time.
 
I don’t read any content from him at all it’s just drivel.
Talking of which I had to listen to Talkshite between 5-6 this morning on way into work as my podcast didn’t seem to want to play.
Paul Coyte again, if you want a stereotype of a Spurs fan then he’s it.
Also so patronising as are many others on that station towards clubs not in London or the north west.
 
Crooks didn’t like Neves complaining about the clear red card challenge on Neto in the FC sportswash game. Apparently this was “pathetic”. Only brought it up because Lampard moaned about VVDs challenge. And proceeded to slag Neves for three paragraphs.

We’re such an easy target that’s the problem:
Firstly we’re from Wolverhampton so are obviously a lesser bunch compared to those in London and Manchester etc
We have owners he keep themselves to themselves
We have a manager who doesn’t say or do much and is foreign
We don’t have loads of England players playing for us

Trust me if we were in London with Harry Redknapp as manager and Declan Rice who was moaning at the ref there’s no way crooks would pick up on this point.
